Killzone 2 is better than Halo 3. Blatantly.
But in a
recent article appearing on a gaming site that, I'll be honest, I've never heard of before now, Microsoft state that they are already planning bigger and better things.
"The current technology employed in certain unannounced Xbox 360 exclusives far surpasses what gamers have seen in any game so far."
Big words, Micro.
This kind of reminded me of when a certain famous Japanese developer (whose name shall not be mentioned *cough* Miyamoto *cough*) tooted his own horn in saying that he could have made Halo , he just decided not to. Why? Because he doesn't want to make games that people are obviously gonna like. He'd much rather make crappy casual games that lots of suburban American families will purchase in massive quantities. I say that with all due respect. I mean, the man wipes his ass with whatever a $100 dollar bill would look like in Japan.
In any case. Whether or not Microsoft will live up to their words remains to be seen. Could we be seeing Killzone 2 quality on 360 shortly?
Sony: "Not bad, But look at MY bike!"
Microsoft: "Yeah, That's a nice bike, But look at the bike I'm getting for my birthday this year!"
Rinse/Repeat.
If you mean graphically, then that will be a tall order for a 360 game.
Gameplay-wise, I wouldn't be surprised. I think the 360 and PS3 are capable of creating very similar experiences.
I seriously love KZ2 and planting bombs while Pikeman wonders aloud how they got there.
and if microsoft has something that is greater, don't you think they would reveal info on it? they would if they did but they don't as of yet.
Yes, because of reasons.
And please stop with the Killzone better than Halo thing, Jim's article came off as a very weak attempt to start a meme and it sucks to see people spreading it.
I don't think you looked at the link, did you?
"And please stop with the Killzone better than Halo thing, Jim's article came off as a very weak attempt to start a meme and it sucks to see people spreading it."
What Jim's article are you speaking of? ;) It's just a fact.
Of course, Killzone 2 could be the limit to what the 360 could reach but there are games lined up for the PS3 ready to surpass the mark. Also, Crysis (we all know someone is going to bitch about how nothing compares with it :P)
AHAHAHAHAHAHAH.
Saying that makes you sound like such an idiot. I didn't even bother reading the rest.
I'm sorry for not stacking up to your intellectual greatness. ;)
Also the one of the engineers who managed to work on both the Cell and the 360's Xenon processor believes they are similarly powerful systems (source) so its doubtful we've seen the best of either.
Not picking a fight here but I would'nt believe that "there even" statement unless it came from a third party. If one were more powerful than the other he sure could'nt say it because his job would have his ass ( More competition, More money, screw up your company's ability to make money and you get fired).
Actually with all the " the 360 is maxed out" talk going around I was Intrested in seeing how MS would react. But there actions so far kinda say uuum yeah were maxed out but were gonna stall for time until we find something that might make everyone forget that for 6 more months. But in the interest of fairness I'll wait till E3 to see what they do.
