Yes, yes it can. Do not underestimate the power of bad games.
It's a shame, SOF2 rocked box
I loved SOF2 - the multiplayer was insanely fun..the problem is this looks to not be handled properly :( Sadly... No Raven involvement is the worst thing to hear right now. The engine is surely last gen as well - given that - Activision probably has the rights to the old engine (Q3) , and Activision Value is handling the title. Also - The name "Payback" sorta sounds sequelish.. i dunno.. I loved SOF2, I don't know what to make of this, but if ever there was a franchise I wanted to see represented in this Gen - it was SOF
(waiting with baited breath for Jack Thompson to subpoena Activision..)
this makes me sad in pants.
I knew in the back of my mind with them getting this close to release, not having any information wasn't a good sigh. I was hoping it just meant the release wasn't really this close.
I've been wanting a new SOF game for years now... I'm not sure that I want this one though. It'd be nice to see some screenshots or gameplay footage.
nothing like taking an amazing franchise and shipping it off to your valueware teams. Can you imagine the public outcry if they did the same thing to the Hitman series or something like that?
anyway, I liked the jihad mod on SOF2, hours of fun in Barnstorm
Didn't they say earlier that it would have more impact zones on bodies than SOF2?
@pew
actually, from reading the article and then looking up SOF2 on wiki, it looks to have the same number of impact zones : 36. it just wont use GHOUL2.0 or considering this to be a "next-gen"er, a GHOUL3.0...that never exists... but should.
