also, look at the wording that blizz is using to describe the new battle.net. you're going to be angry when you find out that the new battle.net. they dont come right out and say it, but the wording is too shady for me.
"The reply does not exclude the possibility that network play will be included, but seeing as the company already decided to exclude the feature from its other anticipated sequel, Diablo III, it's likely that the StarCraft II development team will go the same route."
Sounds like crappy websites stirring up a story that isn't there. There's no way Blizzard is that big of an idiot.
Let's hope not.
I can't imagine paying for battle.net.
ACtually i never played Diablo II on Battle.net. It was jsut a group of 4-5 friends that played over our the LAN in our dorms in college. It owuld have sucked if D2 didnt have LAN capabilities. I could see this hurting it overall.
This is make or break with me..if there's no way for me to play over my LAN, I'm not buying it.
I know exactly where this all started -

Also, I can't believe people are still complaining about the game split. Plus, pc games are rarely over $50. I really doubt they would sell for $60 each.
"But this game would severely suffer from lack of sales if they left this feature out."
No it wouldn't!. They are going to make Millions and everybody knows that. Besides, IF there is no LAN then you can always rely on mod people.
180 for a full game? You mean like halo? HA! No i'm kidding, i don't care for that franchise.
About the 3 separate packages thing, from blizzard's faq it says the first part is the main game and the other 2 are expansion packs. Which in my mind says the first release will be $50 and the other 2 at $30 a peice.
I call BS on this
I've seen it before, but I want to tell you now, your blog header is 1000% awesome.
Wait... there's no LAN play in Diablo 3?
Like, 90% of the fun I've had with Diablo 2 is getting people together, making a bunch of ridiculous items and LAN playing our way through all three difficulties in one super-powered 12-hour marathon of Diablo.
Is that a battletech figure in your blog header??
WANT!
@Adultswim810: I hope it's BS. I'm a big fan of the older blizzard games that don't require you to pay monthly.
@Chronoswing:
I sure as hell hope your are correct. I miss the old blizzard that were concerned about people enjoying their games, and not lining their pockets with gold. (profit is nice, but not at the expense of the people that made you guys #1)
@puppylicks:
Yes, actually, those are the EXO force figures that were released in the 90's (there's an Invid behind Samus). If you look closely, you can see the Veritech and the SDF1's legs on the right side.
I hope that all of this is speculation and not truth!
Don't screw your old school fans Blizzard!
"I can understand excluding it from Diablo 3... "
How's that? peer-to-peer gaming is where it's at. I've never used battle.net for D2, and I don't want to for D3.
Ok D3 without lan is absolutely ridiculous! WTF Actually any game without lan is a stupid idea, LAN is where it's at, being next to your friends and seeing the sadness on their face when you f**** them over is brilliant! Blizzard don't start being all sassy on me here or I'm gonna have to back hand you one in a drunken rage. (You have been warned)
