One of the Old Chicago bars by my house has "rock band night" sponsored by whoever at the time, where they provide TV, Stage, and Rock Band kit for inebriated people looking to unwind.
I don't generally agree with the games, and I don't play them, but there are plenty of other things for me to focus on, while letting other people pretend they're in a band...
right?
But anyway, I think its fine to have game simulate something you can do in real life. Games can usually make a fun challenge around the basic idea. Doing the cheer thing in real life is cool, but everyone loves getting points for things. Sure, I coudl snowboard, but for 40 bucks I can get SSX3 and enjoy a righteous gaming experience based on a real thing.
Of course I know I'm not really snowboarding. And I'm fine with that. Completely fine.
If there are people who want to play their cheerleader game, then please let them do it. Who are you to critizise them? Also, what's wrong about Guitar Hero/Rock Band? And your views of gaming demography are very questionable...
Oh yeah, having played the first three Decents, I'm pretty sure it's not a FPS...
And oh my, you can swear as much as you want, won't rise the quality of you blog post. Do a little research instead and put some effort into it.
Thank you very much.
ATROCITY!
