My name is Edvin Dizdarevic.
I have recently created a YouTube channel that I will be working on in the field of Gaming Journalism and just other fun videos that have to do with gaming.
Ohhh I know you probably haven't heard that one in these blogs.. haha just kidding obviously. But for now I will dedicate most of my efforts in these blogs, and the channel will come a little later. I will be starting my first year of college this august and I will focus on starting the year off right. I will be majoring in Electrical Engineering. I will keep up with new news and blogs but the channel won't have true content for a little while, but bare with me.
I do indeed aim to take this as seriously as I can and work at it. I was inspired by watching Destructoid over the past few years or a little over a year to be more precise. and recently by Rev3 and PewDiePie
If I somehow made a living of this I couldn't even explain how stoked I'd be.
My all time favorite games are
Bioshock Infinite for its vast depth of story and "inception"
Fallout New Vegas for its post apocalyptic feel, storyline, goofiness, and replay value.
and obviously I have to mention Skyrim because it will stand as one of the greatest games ever created. Bethesda is just a frikkinn powerhouse.
I own a Xbox360, but Microsoft has let me down so I will be a proud owner of the PS4 when it is released.
If you actually took the time to read this, I thank you, and I hope you visit my channel
or catch me on that live feed
I will warn you that I do not have outstanding recording equipment yet, but I am working on it,
and my intro definitely needs work.
Honestly I will take any criticism and pointers that anyone has for me, and if you maybe want to help with the channel, I will gladly accept your help and you will absolutely get the recognition you deserve.
I want this to become a community and a friendly experience for everyone..
For that i will need help and suggestions. I'd love any you would be willing to offer and I promise you will get the recognition for it.
I hope you're as excited about this as i am.
Ubisoft is doing it again. They have developed/are developing two of the most anticipated next gen titles, which are also at the very top of my list of purchases, "Watch Dogs" and "The Division".
In Watch Dogs you play as Aiden Pearce, "A man shaped by violence and obsessed with surveillance." In the context of the game, I envision Aiden as Batman type persona. I mean other than being a former thug. But Aiden is incredibly skilled with his plethora of knowledge with technology and a hunger for justice to keep those close to him safe. Sounds a bit similar aye? But Aiden is not a caped crusader but more of the everyday man fighting for what he believes in.
Watch Dogs is based in a futuristic, all tech city of Chicago. In this Hacker's playhouse (as I see it) everything is controlled by the ctOS, The Central Operating System. Everything is connected through the ctOS, including banks, security systems, communication hubs, and even the city's basic infrastructure operates through the operating system. Which means that a good hacker can control the city. and Aiden is behind the wheel. Aiden can use his cellphone to control everything from security to, clogging up traffic to slow his enemies, or even unlocking a car door and using it to his advantage.
Ubisoft is so confident that they have already begun work on a second Watch Dogs. When asked if they were planning for Watch Dogs to become a game series, they replied by saying that all of their games are series and if they didn't think that the game would be good enough to become a blockbuster series then they wouldn't have even bothered. And they have also discussed the companion app that players will be able to use as a controller or a multiscreen experience. There is not much information on what exactly the app will be, but my best guess is that the app will give your phone all the power that Aiden's phone has withing the game. I am extremely hyped and will be preordering this title.
And now for Tom Clancy's The Division. A man-made virus has swept through New York City. Basic services begin to fail creating a domino effect crippling society and threatening the style of living we have become so accustom to in mere days. The Division, a classified unit of self-supported tactical agents, is activated. These agents are trained to operate independently of command, as all else fails. While you navigate and fight the effects that the virus has had on the city, you also encounter those that are behind the virus, or those that have actually gained power or status because of the events that have taken place.
This is a singleplayer within a multiplayer gaming experience. Much like Runescape and World of Warcraft, but in a more modernized sense. It is technically an MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game). Where you can go about missions solo, or take everything on with a close nit group of comrades, where everything occurs in real time. Loot fallen foes, create/improve gear, and customize your "Go-Bag", skill combos, and weaponry.
Similar to "Watch Dogs", The Division has a companion app as well. This allows you to jump in on the action whenever your friends need you from wherever and whenever. You can send in your drone to help you and/or your friends scout out the surrounding area as well as put down some heavy fire from the air on your smartphone or tablet. Your drone levels up this way just as your character does, and is just as customizable.
My hats off to you Ubisoft, You freakinn powerhouse.
