Hello there fellow Dtoiders. If you've only joined within the past few months, you might not know me. I'm Dexter, pleased to meet you. For everybody else, I have returned. You may have noticed that I've been a little MIA for the past few months. I was planning on writing a blog about it back when I had to tearfully remove Destructoid from my bookmarks, but at the time there was a lot of stupid drama going down, and I didn't want to look like I was getting involved.

Long story short, I am back because I am now an official Ph.D candidate. It took a few months of work, lots of reading, lots of writing, lots of science. I had to really buckle down, and my biggest time suck (this beautiful place) had to be taken out of my life to make sure I made it. Well, I did, and I'm back.

If you've been around the forums (or if you've seen my recent comments), then you'll know that I've been done writing for a week now, but just yesterday was my actual candidacy exam, and although my committee made a few scathing comments, I passed.

So, what can you expect now that I'm back? Well, hopefully more than even while I was here. I am aiming for the following:

One feature a week, including a monthly musing. Some possible monthly recurring features.
Any sort of science/video game news that I pick up that doesn't get reported elsewhere.
A possible game. I'm trying to learn to program in Java so I can code a puzzle game that might take up some time. I make no guarantees on this one, because it's entirely dependent on how dedicated I am to learning a new programming language.

I feel like there was more I wanted to say, but I can't think of it. In closing, YAY WOO I'M BACK! <3 <3 <3
