I apparently just can't seem to get enough of you people. Just last Saturday I threw a party and invited you guys, and here I am doing it again. Only this time, it's not going to be a party party, just a get-together-and-play-board-games party. I imagine it to be a much quieter time, but certainly just as competitive (if not more) than playing the Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures with three other (malicious) people. Why am I doing this? Well, for one, the board games were sadly neglected at last week's party, and for two, I just bought two new games and I'm itching to try them out, and for three, none of the people here at my school would be willing to come play with me. And for four, they're all a bunch of jerks. Actually, I guess that goes with number three. So if you make it to only one Destructoid Los Angeles hangout this season, well then by all means wait another week and come party with CTZ. But if you can make it to two, then I'd love to have you over to play some board games. My collection is shown above, and you can read more about the games through the links below, if you'd like. Settlers of Catan Cities and Knights of Catan Carcassonne Puerto Rico Ticket to Ride Shadows Over Camelot I will also probably bake something. Pineapple upside down cake, maybe?

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!

Scrabble is good though.
Thornnn: You have not lived until you have backstabbed your friends in a board game. Resource management games like Catan are the perfect outlet for an evil streak. =D
I'd come play if I weren't on the other side of the country :<
The other half, super fun once you learn them...
