New Confirmed Guitar Hero III Tracks OMG!
Demios | 5:04 AM on 07.26.2007 16 comments

With the release of Rock Band looming the Guitar Hero franchise is in desperate need of some killer tracks for their new title due before the end of the year. And while the tracks already announced were pretty cool on their own as individual songs i question how they will play out on the game itself...

So i here is the now updated list:

New Tracks -

Suck My Kiss - Red Hot Chili Peppers (Master)
La Grange - ZZ Top
Number Of The Beast - Iron Maiden (Master)
Through The Fire And Flames - Dragonforce (Master)

Previously Announced -

Alice Cooper - School's Out
Beastie Boys - Sabotage (Master)
Foghat - Slowride
Guns N' Roses - Welcome to the Jungle (Master)
Heart - Barracuda
Kiss - Rock N Roll All Nite
Living Colour - Cult of Personality (Master)
Muse - Knights of Cydonia (Master)
Pearl Jam - Evenflow (Master)
Priestess - Lay Down (Master)
Rolling Stones - Paint it Black (Master)
Smashing Pumpkins - Cherub Rock (Master)
Tenacious D - The Metal (Master)
The Scorpions - Rock You Like a Hurricane
Weezer - My Name is Jonas (Master)

With the addition of these new four i am almost certain to grab this sequel now, being the huge metal fan i am...ZZ TOP FTW TIME TO BREAK SOME BAR-STOOLS BOY!

God bless them for including a lot more master tracks. The covers almost ruin the game for me (almost).

True, i just watch some videos of the 80's expansion..Balls To The Wall = Painfully bad cover.

Wow, it took them three fucking games, but finally they have Iron Maiden on there.

The rest of the lineup looks awesome, too. A lot more of my favorites than the previous games - dragonforce, stones' paint it black, beastie boys, etc etc.

Im considering wearing aviators and a fake mustache when i rock out sabotage..its the least i can do really.

The inclusion of 'Barracuda' and 'Slow Ride' i think is genius, both amazing guitar songs but not hugely popular either. They were used in one of my other game franchises,Grand Theft Auto, namely San Andreas.

Do you think there will be a new 'cyborg hand' peripheral for the Dragonforce track when playing it on hard?

But one thing i noticed seeing the newer tracks, their not afraid to splash the cash now when it comes to giving the fans of the series what songs they demanded (Dragonforce being number 1 on alot of song wish lists)

Finally some titles I recognize! I think GH2 is awesome, but I never really cared for bands or what their names were. Glad to see some familiar ones.

Btw Demios, if you like Slow Ride and Sealab, you should definately watch Dazed & Confused, if you haven't already.

Shit just realized that 4 tracks are from San Andreas. Welcome To The Jungle and Cult Of Personality including Slowride and Barracuda.

Jesus were these guys just playing GTA when they made this??? Perhaps they use Rockstar's amazing choice in soundtracks and leech from them...The Plot thickens methinks!

Actually, Demios, they're only a few songs short of the entire Dazed and Confused soundtrack.

Ah, good, you guys have yer Dragonforce, maybe now they'll concentrate on putting other, GOOD music in the rest of the
game.

dvddesign: did you mean the GTA soundtrack? Coz I only see 1 D&C song here.

Regardless any game developer that taps into both those things cannot fail..Great Movie/Great Game.

Theres a website asking plp to send in ideas of songs and their passing them onto Harmonix and could make it into Rockband.

Oh...and you win a free shirt too.
