shit days are shit. Sucks about your $60.
Kudos on getting orange box, in terms of Team Fotress 2 on 360 it has problems so don't get your hopes up too much. It's not nearly as good as the PC version BUT still a lot of fun and definately worth sticking with. If you haven't played before (i hadn't when i first started) my advice is to start off as a medic, it's the class least picky with controls while really gets you into the team aspect of the game. Also, not enough people played medic when i was on 360.
Oh yeah, you don't get the Halo kids playing it either so the community is much better.
In terms of swimming gear, just go nude. Fuck censorship.
Now you're thinking with Portals
All you need to know for Half-Life's story is that Gordon was a scientists at Black Mesa. Black Mesa screwed around with things they shouldn't have, opened up a portal to another dimension, and pretty much screwed all of humanity. You fight against the aliens, then the military who is trying to fight the aliens, then you meet the G-Man, who forces you into working for him and puts you in a coma of some sort. 2 years later, he pulls you out, and Half-Life 2 begins.
Everything else you can pretty much figure out. Happy gaming, and sorry about the shitty day.
@Matthew Blake: Don't forget about the zombie goasts.
