It's obvious he meant playstation (1), but he's a bad writer anyway "really cool weapons"? "Storylines"? You know you can only have ONE don't you? No matter how many threads it has.

It could simply refer the Metal Gear Solid as a series, which did appear on Playstation 2. There's other stuff there that points to mediocre journalism, but you chose to point out the one that's largely irrelevant.
