Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
you're a disgusting whore.
You're like Miyamoto. Or Miyagi.
I will play it, then critique it!
Fun, but towards the later levels I felt like the guy moved just a little too fast. I know it's supposed to be hard, but the slightest tap of the arrow would send him careening off the edge, which was annoying since there's barely a pixel width of space where he's safe from the spikes.
Also the music made me want to shoot myself, but I pushed M so it was ok.
Overall I had a good time though!
at first i thought that last all spike level was going to be murder... but luckily it's super simple when you find the right path.
what's arrayprinter? is it some flash doodad?
What program did you use to make the game?
You asked for some negative comments/criticism, so... my advice and/or request would be to make the jump button something other than the UP arrow.
Also: I don't know about this whole invisible platforms/roadblocks and pixel-perfect jumps deal that seems to progressively dominate the level structure. I enjoyed it more when the challenge stemmed from trying to figure out the puzzle of how the level was laid out, but not when I knew what to do and just couldn't do it because of the godly precision required of my clumsy keyboard-addled control of the character.
But, I had fun!
The heart. I don't know why I got a heart, or what it did. Is the player not supposed to know until later? Does it mean anything?
Also: THANK YOU for infinite lives. This game would not have worked without that feature.
jerk
Also, I'm not sure what the later levels are like, so I can't completely judge, but level 2-3 seemed like a weird jump in difficulty (although I think you were going for that), as a player, I'd like to learn the controls a little more gradually, and have a little forgiveness as I learn.
I must say it was fun and felt like I was jump floating for a little bit. I would have to press up and tap the directions if I wanted to be barely on an edge of the platform.
Great goodness I'll try again when I'm not exhausted.
Flash 8
@Kendal Lew
I agree
@Fyrebrand
The heart is there to confuse the player.

Great game though.
Thank god for infinite lives eh :)
I got stuck at this jump. I tried it a bunch of times before giving up. I liked the music, the controls were workable. I just wish I didn't suck so I could see more of the game. haha
Jumping and movement feels nice but I didn't have enough inspiration to play beyond where I got stuck/annoyed.
