Chad Punches Old Ladies: In The Face
Dead Movie Star | 9:22 AM on 01.01.2009 39 comments

Play it!

The people have spoken:

"Old lady ownage!" - OJohnsew [10/10]

"i always wanted to knock out old people and get away with it" - sneakylpete [10/10]

"this game iz ez and fun." - sonicandmario358 [10/10]

Chad Punches Old Ladies: In The Face is clearly the greatest game ever made. It pushes the boundaries of what we consider a game to be and has revolutionized the entire entertainment industry. And the best part... it's free! There is no reason for you not to play Chad Punches Old Ladies: In The Face! It's RETROMAAAAAAAAAZING!

So suck on that, Bonerquest. Suck on that hard.

[P.S. I would like to thank naia for interrupting her New Year's partyin' to supply me with some wonderful music :) :) :) :)]

Destructoid: Year Two, also not by Frank Miller
Dead Movie Star | 9:46 AM on 12.29.2008 6 comments

Two years? Seriously?

Damn.

Well, two years and one name change later I am still here producing below mediocre cblog posts*. I guess now would be an appropriate time to reflect upon the last two years.

...

I cannot for the life of me remember why I signed up for this website and I sure as hell don't remember what made me stay. What I do remember is hearing about this fine blog on Attack of the Show (I still watched it because deep down I really wanted it to be good). I was young at that time and interested by robots on the internet with cocks. Possibly. I seriously have no idea how the hell any of this happened.

But I do know why I am here now... maybe. Well, I know I am here because I love Destructoid. But why do I love Destructoid? I'll let you think about the answer to that for a second. Because clearly you would know and that was not a rhetorical question.

I guess it actually isn't a rhetorical question because I am going answer it. I love Destructoid for these reasons:
-The community (obligatory reason)
-The podcasts (RFGORFGORFGORFGO)
-And... I just remembered why I joined! A contest! Destructoid was giving away a Wii! And I lost but stuck around anyway! And I haven't won any contests ever here!

Wow, I am such a tool.

*My conclusions are pretty bad.

Fallen Angle Episode 1 (NVGR)
Dead Movie Star | 5:58 PM on 10.27.2008 4 comments

About four years ago, a man that called himself RobsH66 released a trailer showing a large-breasted anime chick in a post-apocalyptic future kicking ass and taking names. It got a lot of attention on Newgrounds mainly due to it's stunning visuals, well above what Flash was expected of at that time, and the large-breasted anime chick kicking ass and taking names. At the time it was an opening to an amazing series, but soon the commotion died down. In 2005, the humble Robs created a website for the series-to-be but that was scarcely updated; every so often a savory frame of animation was added.

Just this past week, episode one was released.

Now with a large-breasted non-anime chick, the series starts as any post apocalyptic story would: the pre-apocalyptic world. But thankfully, the episode moves along fast. The last minute of the whole thing shows us a post-apocalyptic world that can be compared to Fallout in many ways (no floral arrangements, dusty roads, and people being douchey in supermarkets) while the preceding parts of the episode are where you get your explosions and tits.

The visuals are absolutely stunning for a Flash movie, even though that is not saying much. Sadly, especially in the beginning, it really takes you out of it when the semi-cartoony style characters change proportions from scene to scene. But that is forgivable seeing as the author put most of his effort into some of the best 2D city-nukings ever. Seriously, I have never seen children die in an explosion so good.

The only glaring flaw with this animation is that it may be another four years until the next episode.

Part 2
Part 3
