Also, just because wrestling is fake doesn't mean they shouldn't make a game for it. Think about it. Is Master Chief real? No. So should they not make Halo? Or even a superhero game. Spiderman is fake as fucking hell, albeit awesome. Should they make his game then? Actually, his games suck, so no.

um, did you even play Spiderman 2? That game was face-melting-Ark-of-the-Covenant good. Otherwise, I basically agree.
People do care (I don't anymore, but I was lucky enough to like wrestling during Wrestlemania XX, woot!).
If people didn't give a shit, they wouldn't buy the multitude of wrestling games that come out. If noone bought the games that were made, said games would not be made anymore. I can personally attest that I have had lots of fun playing these types of games (albeit not recently)
One point you are missing is the multiplayer factor. I wouldn't have had nearly as much fun playing these games if it weren't for the 3 other players giggling like artards when they piledrive their friend through the roof of the hell-in-a-cell. That's the whole point! If I didn't have at least one other person to play a wrestling game with, it's not worth it really.
These games, like all kinds of games, have their ranges between "fail" and "superbafuckinwin". For example, WCW v. NWO was incredibly fun, Wrestlemania XVII and XVIII were fun as hell to play. However, there are many games that fell flat on their face like Legends of Wrestling. I was dying to play this game, especially since it had one of my favorite peoples of all time, Andy Kaufman, but the game was one of the top 3 WORST games I have ever played.
So don't say that these games have no point, they do. Are there too many? for some. Do they have a market? yes. Do they suck? Sometimes, but games of all genres suck sometimes. Do you like wrestling? obviously not, but I don't like Dragonball Z and you don't hear me Clogging up a hate storm. What gives?
