I'm getting the PS3 version, because I have a PS3. But if I would have to choose I would pick the PS3 version, because most likely the PS3 will have more online players (because it's free) and the better joypad for fighting games.
I'm most excited about playing this online with friends, so the Xbox 360 version is the way to go. That's my only current-gen console, though, so there wasn't much of a debate for me.
The d-pad sucks, yeah, but I've gotten accustomed to using the analog stick in Street Fighter II. I think it'll be alright. I'm totally envious of the people who got their arcade sticks for this game.
Send me a challenge if you end up going with the 360 version. GT: ShinigamiBV

I want to get the PS3 version for the controller, but EVERYONE in IRC is getting the 360 one, so I guess I'll be getting that. I hate the 360 controller so much though.
as a fighting game fan, it doesn't matter. neither stock controller will do the game the justice a 3rd party joystick will.
I want the PS3 version but sadly...I only have an 360. Though for something like SC IV, 360 controller wins just cause of Analog nub being main controller. Makes it easier on 8-way movement.
Get a joystick. Play it on 360. Online + Controllers work!
And besides, I hear Yoda is a better fighter than Vader even though they'll both will eventually be unlockable.

The game probably stinks out loud, so I'll give you an objective opinion. 360 has a superior positioning and feel in the left analog stick, IMO. Both systems have kinda shitty dpads, with the 360's being more shitty. A 3rd party arcade stick is a must, so make your decision based on which money-grubbing star wars character you like more.
I got the 360 version and Yoda is fucking awesome. He's a bit hard to control sometimes but he's ridiculously hard to hit if you're on a roll.
Plus I like spamming his taunt, "Afraid are you? hmm"

I went with the 360 version to play with friends, so take a look at your friends' setups and see which makes more sense. Your going to get a lot more out of the game if 6 months from now you can invite you bro down the street to a game on live than if they have to come over to your house and sit next to you whilst playing on a ps3.
You're all overcomplicating this. You really don't have any choice Dale. We all know you're afraid and fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to suffering and suffering leads to the dark side. It's fate, you have to get the PS3 version because that's where you'll find vader.
Dale what the fuck man?
Also I've decided to go with the 360 version. I like to talk shit to people I cut in the face.

I think the PS3 controller is more suited to Soul Calibur, but I'm getting the 360 version because most of my friends who play Soul Calibur are
Im very very skepitcal about online fighting games, in a game where ever second counts, lag is your most formidable opponent. I got mine for the PS3 cause I dont really want to get a joystick just to play a game when I already have a system that has a decent D-Pad.
I'm getting the PS3 version mainly because I don't have a 360, but yeah, I prefer the PS3 controller, and I like Vader more than Yoda. I've heard that Yoda's cheaper, though.
@Jack
LoL. I'm sorry dude I gotta go where the people are. I can't play MGS4 co-op or I'd be all over it. We'll play some Resistance 2, Little Big Planet, and Fat Princess together. I promise!

LOL, ok dude I will hold you to it!!! I have a 360 too, but I know more people on PSN, so Darth Vader here I come.
@Kryptinite
I'm with Jack on this one, asshole. Can't even show up for a couple hands of poker and a chance to win SC IV for FREE!? Sonuvabitch! lol

360 because my PS3 is shit because it can't read my discs for some apparent reason ever since I got an update for MGO.
360 since
1) I've got an arcade stick
2) Everyone in IRC is doing it
3) Vader looks like he'll be there anyway.

The left one. The right one is a little droopy...and I'm using my left and right...
Oh, you asked which system I would choose.
360...since it's the only one of the two I've got...

...seriously, look at them...the things are the size of her head...I'm surprised both aren't dropping a bit.

I'm waiting to find out the resolution/AA/AF/Framerate/upscaling of both versions before i decide.
I dont care about controls because I'll be building an arcade stick anyway.

bought the PS3 SCIV Hori Arcade Stick for the game so... i'm getting it on PS3. oh, and i bought the stick for PS3 because i've got more fighters for PS2/3 than i do my 360. ARCANA HEART FTW!
@Heretic
360 degrees is a full circle so if your looking at the 360 a 360 degree turn would mean your looking at it again.....
I <3 PS3

I'll get the PS3 version. I've got a full friendslist with people who are playing it except for Kryptinite who I don't know anymore.
Dale, I would go for the PS3 if I were you, I would always go for better controls. Besides there will be more than enough players online.

ps3 only because i already have a hori fighting stick 3 for it. if i had one for my 360 then i would get it for that system.
"Now, I'm not asking either system fanboy."
You're pitting two consoles against eachother. There's no way to get what you just requested.

Whichever controller you're more comfortable with.
Personally, I wish it came out for the ps2 so I could use my SF2 anniversary controllers with it.

With the PS3, you can install data on your hardrive so that load times are shortened by about 50%, that's pretty neat.
360
+I have more ppl on my FL
+better FL/MM
+Microsoft invading my living room
+ummm?
-Yoda (y'all can keep him. he's immune to throws & most high attacks)
-loud as hell.
-did I mention it's loud as hell
PS3
+better d-pad
+quiet operation
+shorter load times
+did I mention it's quieter?
-Vader (y'all can keep him. it's just silly)
-dumb friends management
-no rumble? (haven't noticed)
-fewer people on my friends list

I've got both systems. The 360 has HD installs on the way, and I'm sure the newer chipset(s) are quieter. I've got more friends on my 360 FL but only a handful are fighter fans. I'll also admit I'm always looking for reasons to get the PS3 version, but that doesn't mean I'm not reaonable.
I'm a SC noob and I'm loving it. Shura is my favorite so far. Maybe because I'm a noob?
Anyway, awesome game. You should be happy w/ either version.
