I'm kind of sick in the sense that I clean my house daily. I have a small place, but I clean at least one part of it daily. I have two dogs, and my house looks like it sometimes. I'm not a neat freak, but I can't stand trash and dishes and laundry lying around. I'll sweep or vacuum something as often as I can.

That's why it blew my mind when I saw this place. This was sent to Japanator tips by reader W.S., and while it had nothing to do with Japan, it was worth sharing.

The poster of these horiffic images seems to be a landlord or something. He says "We had a resident who had an outstanding balance for over a month and no one could get ahold of her. The Bookkeeper went inside after so many tries to leave a note and this is what we found."

The cigarette butts in the images kill me. It all looks deliberate. I'm guessing the resident of this place has some sort of mental illness. This looks like a movie set or something.

That drives me nuts too. Reminds me of when I had a bordello of roommates with dogs. They wouldn't clean their shit or want me to up their rent to hire a regular cleaning lady, so I eventually kicked everybody out and moved to a smaller place :)

I have an aunt that's a hoarder... her house (from my memories of the few times I went there as a kid) looks like this. She doesn't live there anymore. Her sisters forced her into a home so she didn't kill herself under an avalanche of loose change, old food, and newspapers. Her house still looks like this and the grass in the yard is probably 5 feet tall.

The first apartment I ever lived in was usually pretty unkempt. We'd have dishes stacked, empty boxes and such lying around and we were both lazy and didn't want to clean.

All that changed when we got a notice saying: "Clean up or Get Evicted." Since then, I've been trying harder to keep my space clean. It's a bitch having to go back to several weeks worth of dirtiness and clean it up.
