Whats up Destructoid?
My name is Sean McLoughlin and I've been sent from the futurepast to march with my fellow robots to victory. For Niero!

My favorite games can be numerous (as I'm sure is true of most here at Dtoid), but my all time favorites are Final Fantasy VI, Diablo II, Bioshock, Braid, Demon's Souls and Metal Gear Solid. I never rent games and I rarely trade in or sell the games I buy so I have a pretty massive game collection. For the sake of space I'll just list the consoles and portables that I own: NES, SNES, Genesis, Game Gear, Game Boy Pocket, Game Boy Advance, Playstation, N64, Playstation 2 (one original which is broken and a Slim), Dreamcast, Gamecube, Xbox, Neo Geo Pocket, Nintendo DS, Nintendo DSi, PSP 2000, Xbox 360 (red-ringed once), a fully backwards compatible Playstation 3 and a Wii.

I'm a video game designer and an RPI graduate with a degree in Games and Simulation Arts and Sciences. When I'm not working with my development group Darkroom Games or gaming you can probably find me reading a science fiction/fantasy novel or something on Cracked.com. My favorite authors are George RR Martin, Terry Brooks, Garth Nix and Terry Goodkind. I'm also a big fan of movies, my favorites right now are The Departed, Smoking Aces and Crank, although my all time favorite movie/director is Reservoir Dogs/Tarantino. I don't watch much TV and if I do its usually Discovery channel or Science Channel. I love Professional Wrestling, Y2J SAVE US! My favorite band is obviously The Grateful Dead although my musical tastes are quite varied. I listen to everything from T.I. to Metallica to Toby Keith. Also, MC Chris FTMFW!

I've been a member here on Destructoid for a long time now, ever since December 2006. In my time here, I've made a few friends, won a contest or two and learned a whole lot about video games. Never have I been to a site that compels me to return like Dtoid does. Now I think it's time to give something back.

As some of you may know, Torchlight was on sale this weekend on Steam for $10. I bought myself a copy and I am not disappointed. It really is Diablo 2.5, it even has some of the same sound effects. The game is fantastic and lucky for one Dtoider, I bought a second copy to give away, right here on my blog.

All you have to do to enter my contest is leave a comment telling me why you deserve this copy of Torchlight. It can be text, a photoshop, a video, you could even write me a song. Anything is fair game but you don't have much time, 12 hours to be exact. The deadline is tonight at midnight (Eastern time, also known as the best time) and I will pick the winner then and post a new blog with the decision. Make sure you leave you Steam ID in your comment somewhere so I can gift you the game. Good luck everybody!

I'll just write you a paragraph since I'm not lyrically creative enough to write a poem or song. ;(

I bought D2 and the expansion a year back, since I had missed out on it before (I was 8 when it came out, but as you would've figured, everyone's apparently over it. I played a bit, got decently far, but I just couldn't pass because I kept getting raped and when you're by yourself losing so much is disheartening. Then I heard about Torchlight, which sounded perfect because it's exactly what I wanted in Diablo, have it be accessible and entirely manageable for a noob by themself. Thing was I wasn't gonna blow 20 bucks on it since money's hard to come by when you're an inexperienced 17 year old. I found out about the sale, and had enough money, and just as I was about to buy it I asked my mom for her card in exchange for my cash, and she reminded me I hadn't bought my sister anything for Christmas, so I not only had to blow the 10 bucks from Torchlight but even more money I was saving up for my laptop(going to college next year yay! Not really. D;) and plus, I'll love you. :D

I'be never played Diablo, but have always good things about it, but I am a fan of isometric adventure games like the original Fallout. I don't really have a lot of money so I just spend my time playing old SNES and computer games, so it would be nice having something new to play.
