Whats up Destructoid?
My name is Sean McLoughlin and I've been sent from the futurepast to march with my fellow robots to victory. For Niero!
My favorite games can be numerous (as I'm sure is true of most here at Dtoid), but my all time favorites are Final Fantasy VI, Diablo II, Bioshock, Braid, Demon's Souls and Metal Gear Solid. I never rent games and I rarely trade in or sell the games I buy so I have a pretty massive game collection. For the sake of space I'll just list the consoles and portables that I own: NES, SNES, Genesis, Game Gear, Game Boy Pocket, Game Boy Advance, Playstation, N64, Playstation 2 (one original which is broken and a Slim), Dreamcast, Gamecube, Xbox, Neo Geo Pocket, Nintendo DS, Nintendo DSi, PSP 2000, Xbox 360 (red-ringed once), a fully backwards compatible Playstation 3 and a Wii.
When I'm not in school or gaming you can probably find me reading a science fiction/fantasy novel or an issue of Wired or some such. My favorite authors are George RR Martin, Terry Brooks, Garth Nix and Terry Goodkind. I'm also a big fan of movies, my favorites right now are The Departed, Smoking Aces and Crank, although my all time favorite movie/director is Reservoir Dogs/Tarantino. I don't watch much TV and if I do its usually Discovery channel or Science Channel. I love Professional Wrestling, Y2J SAVE US! My favorite band is obviously The Grateful Dead although my musical tastes are quite varied. I listen to everything from T.I. to Metallica to Toby Keith. Also, MC Chris FTMFW!

Credit for this comic goes to Penny Arcade. Ok so it's not really my birthday. I don't turn 23 until August 3rd. But that didn't stop my girlfriend from surprising me with a couple of supremely awesome presents today. I have to admit, having a girlfriend who is into videogames is pretty awesome when it's gift time. 
First of all, she ordered something off of amazon for me that I've been yearning for ever since 2004, the Steel Battalion controller and a copy of the game. I used to own Steel Battalion but after one fateful summer night in '04, I was forced to sell Steel Battalion in order to replace my Xbox, which was destroyed after a particularly frustrating match of Halo 2. Ever since then I've looked forward to the day when once again I'd be the proud owner of the worlds greatest Mech game. 
Steel Battalion pictures were taken by the games current owner. Secondly, she took me to the mall today, claiming she had some shopping to do before our camping trip this week. Well after she was done in LL Bean she wanted to go to Gamestop, but she didn't say why. As soon as we got into the store she asked the employee behind the counter if he had a blue and a black DSi in stock. When he said yes she promptly bought them both, surprising the hell out of me! She bought the blue one for herself and handed me the black one, saying happy birthday. I was totally shocked, but very pleased. I hadn't planned on owning a DSi any time soon so getting one several weeks before my birthday was an awesome surprise. 
So yeah, I have one of the greatest girlfriends in the world. I love her to death and I sincerely hope that everyone reading this is or someday will be as happy in love as I am. Thanks baby!

Crackdown is totally worth it. Some people bought it just for the Halo 3 beta but those people are idiots. If you can get it or $7 I'd say jump on it.

But you're right, I comment and blog less than I used to, mostly because I read the front page stories after everyone else, so usually someone has already voiced what I was going to say.
