My GOG.com collection is really starting to fill out. The title pretty much says it all. In honor of their one year anniversary, GOG.com is having a buy one get one sale on all interplay titles. This is quite a deal. There are some really good Interplay games on GOG.com, including The Freespace series, The Earthworm Jim games, The original Fallout games, The Decent Series, the list goes on and on. Go here for more details and here for a full list of interplay games on GOG.com. Personally, I picked up Decent 1+2, Decent 3 and it's expanison, Redneck Rampage, Stonekeep, Messiah and Giants: Citizens of Kabuto (all for less than $20!), what's looking good to you guys?

These games all bring me back. Good times.

Fallout 1 has stood the test of time exceptionally well and surprisingly no one has really tried what the first two did not even Fallout 3 for awhile. The best way description of the first two Fallouts is to visualize an RPG wherein there are only 3-4 critical moments necessary to complete the game but somewhere like several dozen additional moments that can shape or alter who you achieve or approach said critical moments. As well as other small and big details such as NPC memories and some seriously detailed dialog trees.
Really the only game to coming close to emulating Fallout 1 & 2's gameplay and intricate details was Arcanum in 2001 and even then Fallout 1 & 2 are still better than it.
Me too. I remember reading about Mesiah in EGM a looooong time ago and I never got to try it. I'm installing it now. =D
@Ygro Wok
Sorry but I don't really know. I only played a little bit of it before going back to Fallout 1 + 2. I bought the three of them when they were all on sale for $10.
@Holyetheline
I've never played Redneck Rampage but it's title has always left me curious. I'm glad I'll finally be able to see what it's all about.
@Ron Burgandy
I can always put myself in the the era these games came out mentally so that I can enjoy them as much as I would have back then. And yes Fallout is totally worth it if you can get past the dated graphics. The game is one of the deepest I've ever played.
@Takeshi
Why, you are correct my good sir! It's free on GOG.com! The other free games in my header image are Teen Agent and Lure of the Temptress. All three are rather good adventure games although Beneath a Steel Sky is the only must play out of the bunch. Conrad did a write up on the front page awhile back, if anybodies interested. I think it was part of the red-rose tinted series.
@Tsunamikitsune
Whatever you do, don't get Earthworm Jim 3D, it's really really bad. I'm sure you already knew that, I'm just making sure.
I ended up grabbing Earthworm Jim 1&2, MDK, Messiah, and Descent 1&2. I'm already aware of Earthworm Jim 3D's suckiness so I passed on it. Besides, if I really want to play it, I can play my N64 copy. >_>
