About Me

Whats up Destructoid?
My name is Sean McLoughlin and I've been sent from the futurepast to march with my fellow robots to victory. For Niero!

My favorite games can be numerous (as I'm sure is true of most here at Dtoid), but my all time favorites are Final Fantasy VI, Diablo II, Bioshock, Braid, Demon's Souls and Metal Gear Solid. I never rent games and I rarely trade in or sell the games I buy so I have a pretty massive game collection. For the sake of space I'll just list the consoles and portables that I own: NES, SNES, Genesis, Game Gear, Game Boy Pocket, Game Boy Advance, Playstation, N64, Playstation 2 (one original which is broken and a Slim), Dreamcast, Gamecube, Xbox, Neo Geo Pocket, Nintendo DS, Nintendo DSi, PSP 2000, Xbox 360 (red-ringed once), a fully backwards compatible Playstation 3 and a Wii.

When I'm not in school or gaming you can probably find me reading a science fiction/fantasy novel or an issue of Wired or some such. My favorite authors are George RR Martin, Terry Brooks, Garth Nix and Terry Goodkind. I'm also a big fan of movies, my favorites right now are The Departed, Smoking Aces and Crank, although my all time favorite movie/director is Reservoir Dogs/Tarantino. I don't watch much TV and if I do its usually Discovery channel or Science Channel. I love Professional Wrestling, Y2J SAVE US! My favorite band is obviously The Grateful Dead although my musical tastes are quite varied. I listen to everything from T.I. to Metallica to Toby Keith. Also, MC Chris FTMFW!

Bored? Why not try one of the games I've made:

Epic Weekend Deals from Steam
DaedHead8 | 10:11 AM on 11.13.2009 7 comments

Steam usually has some good stuff for sale every weekend but this weekend really blows me away. First up we have the Crysis Maximum Edition, which is Crysis and Crysis Warhead packaged together for $29.98! Considering $29.98 is the normal price for both games, this is essentially buy one get one free. I'd be all over this if I had a computer that could run these games.

The deal that I jumped on and inspired me to write this blog is a big one. This might be the best weekend deal I've yet seen. Do you like Overlord? Do you like saving piles of money? Than get this, Overlord, Overlord: Raising Hell and Overlord II, packaged together, all for only $8.75. That's 75% off. If you own the original Overlord, the expansion pack is on sale for $2.50 and the sequel is only $7.50. Unsure about the series and don't want to drop all of your lunch money on them, than pick up the original Overlord for only $1.50, who can't afford that? Get 'em while they're hot!

them some nice deals, thanks 4 the heads up, fap...still, my fav steam deal had to have been the 7 (i think 7) indie game deal for 29.99, world of goo and crayon physics alone were enough to make put you in the green on that one

I didn't know Reservoir Dogs was your favorite movie - great flick! My favorite is Pulp Fiction, and I share your favoritism for Tarantino.

@Magnalon

Yeah I love Tarantino, Pulp Fiction was awesome too, I pick Reservoir Dogs over it because Steve Buscemi > John Travolta.

Good prices, but I'm goona save myself for the end of year sale. Right now, with the exchange rate against the Aussie dollar, Steam's prices are so much better than retail. If I can finish some more games by New Year, then the credit card is gonna get fucked.

I already owned the original Overlord and Raising Hell for 360, but the sequel alone for the package price was a steal. I'm looking forward to having the same love-hate relationship with Overlord II that I did with the first.
