i love the first movie! cant wait to see this one!

I really don't understand why people say the Transformers movie was bad. It's a movie based on a toy that is a car which turns into a robot. The movie's script and plot was pretty much a fully fleshed out child's imagination. Good robot goes vroom, kicks bad robots boot, with an explosion every 5 minutes. Not a movie to be taken seriously. I personally can't wait for this movie.

Go watch the original series again sometime. It was fucking terrible. The animated movie still holds up mainly thanks to nostalgia, but still has some major facepalm moments (like everything with Wheelie, and the fact that 90% of the original G1 Autobots die like bitches).

the first movie was pretty good, but it was not perfect. The movie had its flaws, but it was not terrible.

Im just nervous that the 2nd movie may fall apart underneath expectations.

Why do people like transformers? They're just a massive advert for toy cars.

Transformers have never, ever been good, as such. Every series has been stupid and childish. The '86 movie is in 'so bad its good' territory. The new movie, as you expect from Michael Bay, had fantastic effects, and while i didnt mind the acting (i dont dislike Shia Lebouf, unlike many, and i mean... Megan Fox!) the plot was weak at best, and generally worse.

But none of that changes the fact that robots that transform into vehicles and have epic fights are AWESOME. New movie will be AWESOME too. No matter how bad it is.

Anyways, the first movie wasn't terrible by any means, but I hope that this one actually shows more of the robots and less of the squishy pink humans that follow them around. >.>
