BURNOUT PARADISE can BURN in hell and not even "try again"..
DV2FOX | 8:29 AM on 01.17.2008 10 comments

Some people will kill me for writting this,but after playing the demo just 3 times it already gave me the reason to NOT buy BURNOUT PARADISE..

(Note that i've been a fan of BURNOUT since BURNOUT 3 TAKEDOWN till DOMINATOR)

Also readin' up http://ps3.ign.com/articles/846/846020p1.html it clarified me up to not buy this game,not only bcz the writer said it but my opinion about that THERE'S NO "RESTART" option to go back to the beginnin' of a challenge and try it again..

Plus the way you do a challenge like the demo.."Find your own way to the finish line" just stinks...it's supposed to BLAST your opponents and fill up the race with full speed n action,not just go to random ways without havin' time to check your map...if you do u'll mostly CRASH ^^;

Yeah,awesome shiny graphics and a great soundtrack,plus new gameplay like and new modes (or with a washed name),but the restart thing and no "go directly to a challenge" option just like the NFSUnderground to Carbon sagas disappointed me and that means that Criterion n EA are goin' from awesome to boring back riding..

EA n Criterion,you got TAKEDOWN'ed!..

I must be in the minority here,, I liked the demo. And I'll likely pick it up for purchase as well. The game does too many things right to nitpick here & there and not enjoy it.

I felt the demo was pretty awesome, need to pick up at some point in time. Short on money now, damn seasonal jobs *shakes fiist*!

I like the idea of free roaming in burnout because instead of constantly repeating the same challenge that you will probably end up getting stupidly frustrated over, there will always be new challenges to entertain you till the last one is stumbled over again.

I know we'll have a different opinion on what a good Burnout game is, because you stated that you started at Burnout 3. B3 was when the series went south in my opinion.

I thought the demo was ok. I have no plans on buying the game, but that more for the fact I don't care much for racing games than my thoughts on the actual quality of the title.

Though I do think not having a retry option or a way to jump to events you've already played is retarded, I still think the game's going to be fun.

I agree. I hated the demo. This'll be the first Burnout game I don't purchase. The "find your own way" thing is stupid to me in the context of a racing game and the lack of a restart pisses me off. Say what you want but I think that kinda stuff really detracts from the overall Burnout experience.

Escathos: Can be fun,but constantly goin' back when you LOSE makes u think u wished to have the Retry there and that annoys a lot

GuitarAtomik: Same thing as before,"fun" but annoyin' to go back to the beginnin' at THE OTHER SIDE OF THE CITY..

B-Radicate: Finally someone with my taste...a bit,somehow,dunno..
