It says you play the same locations used from old games and also that you have to backtrack....basicaly like the first one where they made you go BACKWARDS thru a level to extend the game. SUCK! Lazy idiots.
The Halos suck...it is sweet that he contradicts himself!
My review was much better :(
Metroid is an EXPLORATION game.
Halo is a frickin' shooter.
Different games have different "rules."
I figured you would mention that...yeah it had soem backtracking. And yes it was a FPS, even though everyone calls it an "First Person Adventure." Thing is, the game was all about exploring, from scanning items to locating power-ups, to finding secret paths.
I mean Halo is a level based game. One level you walk down a corridor. The next level you turn around and go back the way you came as a "new" level. I mean c'mon!
The only difference I can present to you is that Prime is a free-roaming game. pretty much go where you want, when you want. With exception with one of the Prime's I didn't have to do a lot of backtracking cause I found the special key along the way. The few that I did, it was minimum backtracking at best.
So my main point is they say in the review that if you go inside a building, most of the rooms look all the same. They use similar environments from the previous and you do backtracking in the game. That reminds me of Halo all over-again and the levels really turned me off. I think it is very lazy programming to do something like that. It almost shows proof that they never intended Halo to be a FPS, which they didn't...it was suppose to be more like Halo Wars is but the M$ made them turn it.
