King of the Hill is alright. But yeah, Fox has never really had the best decisions when it comes to having shows on for a while... *sniff* I miss firefly!
I liked king of the hill, it wasn't in your face comedy were the jokes are thrown at you at face value. If you actually think about Koh is can be funny sometimes.
Yeah. I never watched much of King of the Hill, only occasionally catching episodes in syndication, but it is a much more subtle brand of humor. Not quite as subtle as Beavis and Butt-head, but a lot of the jokes were presented in a way that you'd miss them if you weren't paying attention.
Firefly sucked, and The Simpsons stopped being funny a long time ago. I was never big fan of King of the Hill, but at least it's a better alternative to shit shows like American Dad and new-ish Family Guy.
But I LOVED King of the Hill :(

King of the Hill wasn't the greatest show but at least it is better then the shit that is on Fox now. And the Simpsons stopped being funny like 6-8 seasons ago. At least with King of the hill I got a chuckle out of recent episodes, the current Simpsons episodes make me want to pry my eyes out with Ice cream scoops

honestly, that show really fucking sucks.
I never saw a great deal of King of the hill but I agree with Conrad, the humor was a lot less in your face than shows like Family Guy which may have turned off some of this ADHD suffering generation, but I don't think it's fair to say it was shit.
Just because you didn't like the delivery doesn't mean there wasn't plenty of humour, though I admittedly couldn't see myself watching it as regularly as other stuff.
To be honest, I've never liked anything Mike Judge has done. Beavis and Butthead were OKAY, but nothing too spectacular. And Idiocracy? Don't get me started. It was one of the worst movies I've ever seen.

All the shows mentioned in this blog and its comments so far have sucked except Firefly. Newer episodes of the Simpsons aren't as good but they're still better than 99% of everything else on TV.

I was never a fan of King Of the Hill too, but it was not bad. They should cancel Family Guy and American Dad, really. Family Guy is just not funny like it was in the first two seasons and American Dad is one of the worst things i ever saw.
Simpsons stopped being funny some time ago, but the older episodes are still very awesome, so they should keep airing them.
King of the Hill was shite. Good Ridencance.

I hated American Dad at first, but it's tolerable now and a few of the jokes are actually funny.
Jesus H. Christ is right. Whilst new Simpsons aren't what they used to be, they're still funny as hell. Especially the last couple of seasons when they've stopped trying to compete with Family Guy for the "who-can-have-the-most-obvious-and-brutal-humour" award. The Simpsons seems to be layering jokes much more now, similar to the older episodes.

King of the hill was great for what it was. Better than Simpsons now and these new family guy (ugh..all these stewie/brian episodes need to stop.) and american dad....lol phail.
good shows being cancelled? I look at Futurama more than anything that was on fox and killed off for a stupid reason. Firefly not so much. I'd put Dark Angel up there too seeing it's before the whole world began sucking Jessica Alba's cock.
Actually, now then I think about it, the 99 percent thing sounds plausible because when I think about it there are only three shows on television these days that I can tolerate.

Most shows on FOX, and tv in general, suck, but FOX has House and Hell's Kitchen, so they're ok in my book.
FOX sucks. I still can't believe they cancelled Futurama and Firefly.
Happily, my three favorite shows (Doctor Who, Heroes and House) are doing well, so wathever.

Ehh. It had a long run.. and according to that article, it will still be going thru 2009-2010.. I liked a couple of episodes of KoH, but I still think Bevis&Butthead was better in a way.. (the one KoH with Snoop Dogg voicing a character was cool.. & also the one where Hank sniffs turpentine and falls and has visions of that whack-a-mole game and other art-induced-hallucinations was hilarious)..
To me, I've wondered why can't any network do Sci-Fi right without first pushing it to late night and then outright canceling it?

i said the same things most of you guys are saying about KOH about 3 years ago. Then i began to watch it continually. That show is brilliant. I was never really into such a subtle brand of humor bnefore it . I will be sad its gone and will probably pick up a number of the box sets.
king of the hill has been consistantly good since it started, never quite becoming excellent, but also never screwing up and becoming a pathetic parody of itself, like family guy, the simpsons and now finally south park have.
unlike those shows, king of the hill didn't have to resort to shock tactics or references to current events too heavily and instead concentrated on simple themes that were more relevent to everyday life.
although i can't say i watch it every week, i am very, very sad to see this happen. worst decision since futuramas cancellation.

Wow. Sounds like a firefly fan is still bitching. Listen, here is the deal. A lot of great shows get cancelled (Arrested Development, Stroker and Hoop, Freaks and Geeks) but sitting around and crying about it won't bring it back. Buying DVDs and firefly merchandise will. Also, saying another TV show is shit doesn't really help bring it back. King of the Hill is a very respectable show. It has much more going for it than Family Guy has. Not to say I don't like Family Guy, but there were some seasons where it was joke joke joke joke story repeat. Infact recently I have come to find very few still funny episodes. However, recent seasons have been proven much funnier.
It had its moments, but was otherwise a Meh show for me.
I never really cared for it either....oh well.
It was a good show, and it's quite obvious you don't seem to understand that television is a business, therefore it's in the best interest of FOX to continue airing shows that bring in money and also canceling shows that do not make money.
Firefly is an unfortunate example of a critical success and a commercial failure. This happens in games a lot. Okami?

Most of Fox's animated programs are hit and miss, there are good and bad episodes, even The Simpsons still has the occasional gem. I must say though that I love American Dad, it's like Family Guy but without the awkward cut-away jokes.

Oh boo to you Fox, that was the best part of your Animation block. Family Guy is so hit and miss anymore, American Dad was never good, and Simpsons has been bad of a while now. The only good thing is how they're putting it out before it really gets bad.
King of the hill is so original man its nothing like the simpsons save for the fact that its an animated show... Its Mike Judge's more successful show his other show beavis and butthead only ran for 4 years... It was an awesome piece of American history
and shows like american dad have NO business being on the air
