DJ Duffy goes to Spark Film Festival...meets Dennis Muren!

This doesn't have much to do with gaming per say, but I thought it was noteworthy anyway. On Saturday night I attended the Star Wars trilogy screening, which was a special last-minute addition to the Siggraph Spark VFX Festival, here in Vancouver. Lucky for me, non other than Dennis Muren was there to introduce the films! I was able to meet him, get my picture taken with him and get him to sign my lightsabre. Yea, I'm a huge geek, but you already knew that right?

I've included some video footage of Dennis Muren's introduction to the films, where he talks about what it was like working on Star Wars, enjoy!

Hey guys, so i was bored at work today, not too much to composite, so I put this little scene together. I'm not sure how it's going to look in teeny-tiny youtube size, since I made it in HD, but that's what ya get!

Yeaa. So time for another comic. Sorry it took so long to get this one out the door, I hate my scanner so much and desperately need a tablet and work has been crazy busy! If anybody knows where I can get a good deal on a Cintiq, I would love you forever.

Anyway, the comic is really Azin Joe's idea...we kinda worked on it together. So complain to him if you hate the way you look in the comic! He also picked who was in the comic, so if you feel left out, I'll try to get you in there next time :) I've blurred out the ending in the thumbnail, so just click on the image to see the full size dealio :)

A big shout out goes to Dan Paladin for the inspiration, and it was so awesome to party with you at PAX! I'm sure your guys are working super hard to fix the online stuff, don't worry I LOVE your game so much!

Who is the DJ? I'm not really a DJ at all to be honest. If you really want to know just ask me...its a long story. I'm a Canadian gamer who reads and writes about video games. I am just as hyped on the industry as I am on playing the games.

What games do I like? I'll try everything and anything twice.

Music is another awesome thing in my life, I've been a part of a lot of fun projects. I'm just learning guitar casually on my own time, but I played drums for about 8 years or so.
