So I was at my village since Saturday and I came home last night. Yeah no stupid and pointless blogs for awhile ( why do some people pronounce the H before the W?).
So the village. Itsss not exactly what you may imagine when you hear the word. This is what it is basically: there are about 400 people 90% of whice are retired; 100% of the households grow their own food; there are chickens, goats, ducks, storks, donkeys, mules, horses, cows, sheep, pigs, turkeys, cats, dogs and virtually all animals know to man; there is no Internet, the phone numbers are only three digits long, the TV is analog and has only 2 channels and the toilet is just a hole in the ground.
So as I was there, minding my own business, I saw a cow. I've seen cows before, but this time it got me thinking - why do cows have 4 teats (teat = nipple) and cows and sheep only two?
So the cow has four teats and goats and cows have two. Why? A cow usually has only one calf and rarely 2. So that leaves 2 teats in reserve. Goats on the other hoof/HAND can regularlly have two and occasionally three. So that means one baby goat will be left hungry.
So did mother nature screw up? She "made" and animal that can never reach its full potential i.e - too many teats. So whats the point of them if there aren't calves around to use them?
And this brings me, neatly, to PC gaming.
The PC is a cow. It has so much potential, but no calves/GAMES to use it. It has almost limitless processing power! And only RPGs and RTSes to use it. Lame. A console on the other hand is a goat. No matter what it gives birth to - it can be fed.
There was a time when PC gaming was a byword for innovation and limitless potential. But now its a byword for below average RPGs, RTSes and "The Sims".
More and more developers are shifting to consoles. Why? Better hardware? No. Better gameplay? No. It just because of piracy. Oh yeah I know what thats like!
And at this point ..... I can't think of anything else to say.... I'd better stop before I make this already absurd blog even more ... absurd....
Still, I prefer cow milk to goat milk. Go figure....

"So the cow has four teats and goats and cows have two."
That's twice you screwed up, you don't even know WTF you're talking about.
this is a stupid stupid blog. (stupid = D V L) haha devil without vowels, i c wat u did thar -.-;;
Those are my thoughts on the issue, at least.
Have I made it at all obvious that I know more about cows than PCs?
Also "No matter what it gives birth to - it can be fed."... How many things can a goat give birth to?
Frankly, having the greatest graphics in the world won't mean anything if people can't play your game. That's why Crysis bombed at the retail; all of the PC magazines tossed out perfect scores like roses to a bullfighter, but because no sane person spends that much money on bleeding-edge hardware, they couldn't play it. I also question how much those fancy-shmancy graphics actually contributed to the gameplay (or at least the scores), but that is a topic for another time.
