Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
Anyway, that sucks hard. Hope they give you lots of money.

the car is totaled, not much of a mechanic but it one thing breaks it'll effect other things (i think it was the transmission, thingy that moves the wheels?)
My mum was in a major car crash last christmas, some cunt who had been taking drugs and then had decided to go for a drive had lost control on a corner and slammed into her car head on. It wrote the car off, half the car had been torn away but somehow my mum had managed to escape with only a couple of cracked ribs and a whiplash.
However it was the fear of getting back into a car and driving that road again that caused her the most agony.
Keep us updated on what happens to the prick that did this to you.
got a couple phone calls from family about what happened, tried to get some sleep
neck has been bothering me - it must be tense >_>
@McSnow:
We'll do.
Yeah. It's all about getting back with some kind of confidence behind the wheel after a nasty accident.
I know how that feels; the jitters, the nausea and the feeling of it happening again. I don't scare easily, but I had a really nasty accident that totaled the car I was suppose to get when I turned 20. The car I drove had recently had regular maintenance done (during the whole firestone tire recall bullshit) and had no problems the few days driving to Tampa and back. At the end of the trip on the fourth day, I'm approaching a right turn that's only two bloacks from my house. I push the brakes. Nothing. Push again. Nada. I'm unable to get back into traffic nor pull over due to the guard rail, so I do my best in turning and clipped the minivan before coming to a stop. Thankfully I was the only one hurt. Man, it took a lot to make me want to drive again.
Good luck
