I would have paid $15,000 but for some reason they've included but not selling the Limited Edition GameCube. That doesn't make sense to me. That there put me off....
Also, Final Fantasy tends to not be my cup of tea (excluding Crystal Chronicles of course).

Not nearly that much, since I can't speak Japanese.
Also, I would hate to have duplicates. Sorry, how many versions of the original Final Fantasy do I need? I collect games so that I can play them. Not so that they look pretty on my shelf.
Plus, even if I could afford the asking price... When my girlfriend left me for spending $15,000 on a series of which I already own a version of from 1 through to 13, this would pretty much preclude finding another one who wasn't interested in video games.

I fail to see the incredible allure of Final Fantasy as a whole series. To me it's a random compilation of RPGs that should have different names.
Short answer: I wouldn't pay all that much.

@Occams electric toothbrush: I have a goat (live, male) and an Gold '83 VW Sirocco I'll trade you for that Mama's Family collection.
None of it's mint so £3000 max, considering the rarity and quality.
I have a shit load of that stuff already so I wouldn't need it anyway.

They're (nearly) all distinctive games with their own mechanics and universe but I wouldn't go quite that far. They've got enough recurring elements to be considered part of a series.

@Metallion: It's kind of debatable. The older Final Fantasies tie together a little more cohesively, but in the last decade they've strayed pretty far from being a series in my mind, especially when you consider how willing SquareEnix is to slap the Final Fantasy name on any old spin-off game.
@HANDY
If I have some extra time, I'll do an "assessment," but don't worry, I'm not buying it, hahaha, so I'll still have money for food! ^_^
