Suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuup Dtoid! Miss you guys!!!

Sorry I haven't been around Destructoid for a while time but been working hard on side projects and some game development. I know its E3 week and the floodgates of game news-hell will open soon.

But if you have some time to look at our game and give some feedback would be much appreciated. It is a FPS style, for now the enemies we are doing are zombies but obviously that will change and depending on the feedback we might add enemies you recommend!

We are actually giving some free tutorials on many of the parts we are doing for this game on i3DTutorials but were still far away to go to finish this game. We are planning a beta version to be released when its more ready.

Will keep you updated and thanks in advance for any comments given.

I like being critical, so here are my notes. (nit picky stuff really)
I think the gun should appear to recoil a bit more when firing from the hip.
The gun's perspective (from the hip) looks a little strange, appears to point to the left slightly. I also think it's too far forward. (could be just me on that one though)
The puffs of smoke are very cool, but should probably be subdued a bit for realism considering the rifle isn't a musket loader.
I haven't watched everything, but I think it'd be cool to be an fps about private security in the middle east. Say you are a black water agent in Baghdad. This would open up some interesting weapon options as well. Such as these ar15 pistols>
Anyway, cool story bro. I always thought it'd be fun to make an fps. Never got the gumption.
Thanks brain! gonna take your advice deeply and see if we can make any modifications. Were a small team of 3 so making this fps is a real challenge.
I am thoroughly impressed. It looks good, a lot better than some of the amateur garbage out there. There were only two things that really stood out to me. The first is that the gun seems to be small. In the FP view, it would maybe be better to be slightly larger. The second thing was maybe a little tiny bit less fire from the barrel on firing. Aside from that, it looks awesome.
The game is looking good so far, I haven't watched all the videos yet but I will. Who are you working on this game with and what specifically do you do? 3D art and animation?
Its a 3 man team, Jack who those 3D/animation/texture/programming as well, me I come up with the creative parts, r&d, Jona who is the game programmer. We are actually working on multiple games but this one is our AAA fps.
Seems you've created this game in an engine called Unity? At first I was like wow, they wrote this really nice engine from scratch? That is mega lots of work. But still, it's pretty rad looking. In fact, I think it's a very smart move to get a lot of that work done for you, so you can focus on the actual game part, and not the technology.
Bookmarked for later so I can watch them but the screens look sexy enough!
oh yes sorry Knutaf, yea we didn't build the game engine, that would be insane for a 3 man team. Were using Unity because we believe we can do next gen game dev on it and hopefully build games that can go on xboxlive / psn / Wii-u.

Even doing what we have so far has taken us almost 8 months (after main job hours) of development. But we are also working on another title at the same time so its slowing this one down. The second game we are working on is for tablets / iphone/android. Will update you guys when that one is almost ready.
