Also, until they announce a battery life duration, 3G monthly fee, and most importantly, the MSRP of PS Vita games, you can't say they've won yet. It's attractive. It's certainly a lot less than I was expecting. It's definitely raised my awareness of the system, but I'm not sold yet.
Especially since, if Nintendo really feels threatened, they can afford to drop the price. At $249, the 3DS is making Nintendo a profit. They could realistically drop it to $179 or $149. While it'd have an impact on their profit margins, It wouldn't turn the 3DS into a millstone around their neck.
The PS Vita is most certainly being sold at a rather large loss at $249/$299, so Sony won't be able to drop the price (or make a profit off the sale of the units) for at least a year (if not longer) after the release.

@Meteorscrap
You realize, while your second post wasn't as long as his blog, it was still more informative?
@Scissors
Same thing here.

I find it hard to believe anyone gives a crap about the 3G version, so I think for all intents and purposes, the $249 model is the only one that exists. The 3G thing is just to fulfill Sony's need to always do something stupid to counter their good ideas. Like, as much as they'd have liked to, they just couldn't leave out the the 2nd analog stick this time, so they made the separate 3G version to compensate, thus meeting their dumb idea quota. Sony, to me, is like a wonderful girl that you love, but has uncontrollable flatulence. You still love her, but MAN, it would be nice if she'd stop farting!

in todays age, everyone carries a cell phone, and with the current plans anyone who can afford a cell phone can get at least a android phone that offers hot spot connectivity. Instead of spending more money and getting the slower speed of 3G through ATT, just get a 3G/4G phone with hot spot and get 4G speed (unbelievably faster than 3G) or if you want to play conservative cell-power you can just use the phones wifi 3G.
$299 is more of a luxury than a need. I carry around a EVO 4G which gives me the connection solution I mentioned earlier, and in less than 20 days, will have the HTC EVO 3D, which will be much better than what I have now.
Also I do apologize for the short post, it was more of a "FCKU YIS!!!" moment cuz that is a most noteworthy price point. I payed $250 for the N3DS and let me say it was totally NOT worth it for the current games available and the ones coming. The games coming to the Vita + PS3 roll over is more than a dream come true.

Eh, I thought Vita was OK, but transfarring isn't going far enough, more PS3 games should adopt it.
Also, I feel the need to point this out:
- DS had a slower start than #DS like, half a year.
- PS2 had a decent launch followed by a ten month drought
- PS3 had had a terrible price point and no games for months.
All the fuss made over 3DS honestly strikes me as people acting extremely spoiled.when I look at those facts. If you think 3DS is bad, the 80s and 70s would have killed you.

I do want this sexy beast....I also NEED a new phone. I jumped on the Black Berry Bold when it first came out and it's no longer cutting it for me.
