Just a guy who loves to talk video games a lot. I try to be funny and fail a lot, but I swear I'm worth having around.

I'm an older gamer (read:30) and I like to look back on all the good (and bad) that I played through in the before time.

I don't game as much thanks to my 2yr old daughter, but I do keep up on the latest things. As far as she's concerned, well she likes to hit the buttons a lot, which means she could win a few rounds of DOA.

Yes indeed, Major Nelson's blog has all the info on it as well as a video guide for it. Only weird thing is it's done via Xbox.com? Oh well, I'm trying it right now and will update when I'm done.

UPDATE: It looks like in the past they transferred all my licenses to my new console. I won't have to run this then. Also, you can only do this once every 12 months.

I'm doing it right now and it's fucking stupid. There's no download all so I have to redownload 415 things? fuck that.

@Kryptinite: Yeah, it's retarded that you can't have it automate the process... but did you know about the downloads history list?
You should be able to find everything you've downloaded from that list and redownload it from there. Hopefully that makes it easier for you if you didn't know.

I did the online portion of the process. Now all that's left is for me to download all my shit again... which will probably take a loooong time.

Jesus, these people are fucking cunts. We waited how long for this tool, and not only is the process completely convoluted, but you need a wireless network (and their shitty $100 adapter) to make it work. Pure assholery.

really? you dont read much dr payne. you need to be singed into live nowhere and i mean nowhere did it say you need a wireless network and the adapter (which if you are a smart consumer anyways you can pick up a wireless game router for under $50 quit your bitching)
