There's a reason people won't fund it, and it's probably because it's shit.

The concept sounds alright but really beyond the fact that it's in black & white, involves exploration, and uses motion controls somehow, there is absolutely no other info on the game. They've never released screens, only art and FMV (that pic looks like a cg cutscene with extreme filters to me). I guess everyone is just excited about the concept which at the moment, is basically the fact that it's a mature, scary-ish, black & white game on a system that is lacking in that area.

Why? For the same reason people are looking forward to Day of Disaster (and to a lesser extent Duke Nukem Forever).
If you compare Nibris to 3D Realms, who has the most to loose? I'd say 3D realms after working on their game for ten years. In comparison Sadness is not taking ten years and info is tricking out for it. Compared to 3D Realms, a bigger dev, I'd say give Nibris a chance.
Don't forget, we waited ages for Mario Galaxy and Smash Bros with many delays, but Nintendo were forgiven. Nibris deserve the same chance and respect.
When Nibris say its cancelled, I'll concede then.
