Hey everyone. No What Happened tonight because I've got to rush out to a screening of Beowulf (mmm digital fun!) and can't get it together in time, though these fancy new buttons might help it go quicker in the future. Apologies to all all the great writing that went on today and I promise I'll get What Happned in on time tommorow. Anway I just wanted to repost my contest since no ones entered yet.



So I was hoping to do this the day they launched Child’s Play but unfortunately I was on vacation when that happened. Every year since Child’s Play has started I’ve bought a game for a hospital. I was going to go do that again this year but I thought maybe I could spend 60 bucks elsewhere and raise even more money. So this is my Child’s Play contest in which you can win a brand spanking new game of your choice and all you have to do is donate to Child’s Play. But you say you don’t have a lot of money to spend? Well guess what this contest is still for you because I will also be doing a drawing for a Limited Edition Phantom Hourglass Cell and anyone who donates will be in the drawing. The contest will run until donations close on the page and the winner will be the person with the highest donation.

Here is how it will work. Click the link above and donate. Once you’ve donated send me the amount you gave (or the cost of the item/items you gave) at marazak at gmail dot com. I’m not sure if you can link to your payment confirmation page but if that is possible do so. If that isn’t possible you can forward me your billing receipt that amazons sends you or take a screen capture. There is no information that can allow me to hack your account or anything on the receipts or the billing pages. This can all be faked so I know I’m putting forth a lot of trust for the internet but almost everyone I know here at Destructoid has some sort of heart in their chest and hopefully wouldn’t cheat a small child out of a game for his own benefit. Since I didn’t get this up in time if you have already donated please enter too.

What I’m hoping is that this will get some more people to donate that wouldn’t have and that that way putting my donation towards this will make Child’s Play more successful. If you’re making a donation think of this as away to recoup some of the money, so a $70 donation could become only $10 bucks out of your pocket, of course you have to win for this to happen but hopefully some people are willing to take that risk. So please donate even if you don’t want to enter the contest.
