Graduate school can put a serious damper on my game time. I've gotten the chance to beat GTA IV and bask in its multiplayer glory. However, aside from my brief time with everyone's favorite murder simulator, I haven't really had the time to catch up with any other games.
Unfortunately, there haven't been many releases (other than GTA) in the past few months that have interested me. Mario Kart was completely underwhelming. The Metal Gear Online beta was OK in short bursts, but I don't think it has the legs to compete with other third-person shooters. So aside from occasional COD 4 and GTA multiplayer breaks, there haven't been any single-player games that have caught my interest.
To remedy this situation, I recently traded out my 40g ps3 for a 60g. I admittedly haven't owned a ps2 in the past 2 years, and any change compared to the "ho-hum" release schedules of the 3 next-gens is much appreciated.
I've heard great things about Odin Sphere and Persona 3 (both of which I have had limited time with), so they will be on the top of my list to play. However, I find myself to be completely lacking in the ps2 knowledge department. I'm a huge RPG, platformer, puzzle, and survival horror fan. I was looking at the ps2 port of the psp Ratchet game, but I'm not sure how good it is.
Help me out D-toid!
Also, where's my Dragon Quest, Bitch?
:P
I'm down for poker anytime now man.. I think my wife is gonna be my sugarmomma this summer while I TA for a class at school. Lots of drunken card-playing to be had my friend.
Last is the Onimusha series, but if you start with the third, which is good, it will be hard to play the others as they changed the controls.
I've played Ico and Shadow of the Colossus. Both are amazing games. Its just some of the games the past couple of years that I have missed out on.
I've never played Onimusha honestly. Maybe I'll check them out soon.
Haha.. I'll get you Dragon Quest VII as soon as you get someone to make me an epic bearded avatar.
You shouldn't have said that!! You made me make you an avatar..lol. Check your PM, CC.
