I know that I have had some pretty large displays of belligerence and outrageous behavior on this site, but lemme take a moment to be serious. Our second son, Trevor, was born August 19th, 2009. He was 3 months premature. Multiple doctors gave him less than a 10 percent chance to live.
Immediately after he was born, Trevor and I were life-flighted to Texas Children's Hospital in an attempt to stabilize his serious condition. Two months later, my son is in great condition at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit up at TCH. I cannot explain the level of appreciation and gratitude that I have for the doctors and nurses at this great hospital.
However, I am indebted to them a much greater price than gratitude alone. I may not be able to donate much to Extra Life tomorrow, but I encourage all of you to support this as much as humanly possible. If it weren't for the level of care and support that Texas Children's has given Trevor and our family, he wouldn't be around to appreciate all the great things that life has to offer.
Thanks Niero, Rey, Collete, and Sterling. Additionaly, thank you community for the level of support that you showed last year (and hopefully, this year).
Here is a picture of Jennifer and Trevor from about a month ago. He's grown quite a bit since then. You can check out his progress at this site. read
