Hey man-people. I've been surfing this site pretty regulary for a while now. So I thought it's about time I post a blog! So yeah, I'm Carl. I like video games. Pretty new to the scene, as my first console was the PS1. But I do enjoy playing some 'retro' games (Recently completed retro game challenge (DS) ). I own a 360, PS2, Gamecube, DS and Laptop.

So yeah. Hai guys.

Welcome. I have a question:

As someone who started with 32 bit consoles, do you appreciate the graphics of 8 and 16 bit games? I think they're the best thing ever, but I've noticed that people I know who got started more recently don't often seem to like older 2D games visuals.

SNES is rad, though.

@Justicedude: Yeah, I actualy really like the look of NES/SNES games. Metal slug, visually is just beautiful. I may suck at 'ye old games' but it's actualy quite refreshing to play them. The high budget titles of nowadays often dont have a certain, 'charm'. So I'm allways happy to try out anything that comes out on XBL arcade. Or more specifically the VC when I had a Wii. I jump at the chance for anything similar on the DS.

So yeah... Metal Slug <3 (Also, if you've got any tips for a Street fighter newbie. I would love to hear it, aas I recently bought Hyper Street fighter II for PS2.)

For your intro post, you generally want to include more info about yourself. Talk about your favourite console, genre and games and how you became the gamer you are.
