Despite the fact that Guitar Hero 3 has not been released yet, nor has its full set list been revealed, there is some information popping up about the fourth installment of the series.

According to a Billboard.com article, "Aerosmith is also working closely with the makers of "Guitar Hero IV," which will be dedicated to the Boston group's music. "I don't know much about the technical part of it," [Joe] Perry says, "but artistically we're working hand in hand."

Now, I can see another classic rock Guitar Hero a la Rock the 80's, but an entire game of only Aerosmith songs? Not so much.

Also, if you ever see Steven Tyler when he's not performing, the man looks very much like the cavemen of those Geico commercials. You know, with giant lips and all.

Judging from the unlockable tracks in GH1 - Boston has a pretty rockin local music scene.

I wonder if this is one of those "we tried to get the Rolling Stones but they were too expensive" license deals.

With Rock Band entering the market, Guitar Hero has to evolve somehow. Maybe we'll start seeing frequent releases each dedicated to bands like this.
