I got the one that just has a Metroid on it on one side and Samus on the other. I dont like how the list starts at #1 and goes down, though
I was never a far of Game Informer (or any game magazine, really), but that FFVI cover is absolutely incredible.
Congratulations on posting the SUCKIEST of all the covers. We all know that Gordon Freeman DESTROYS ALL MONSTERS. You fool...
You are so wrong on every level Sharp.
That being said, personally I think that the Gordon Freeman and GTAIII covers are the worst ones, if only because the 8- and 16- bit graphics lend themselves so well to the minimalistic approach the covers are going for, and those two just take away from it completely.

I kind of miss gaming mags, I only had a subscribtion to Nintendo Power and it was awesome... until Future bought them and then it became... well not as charming I guess. Anyways, I've always liked gameinformer, read them at stores and other people's houses, if I see a version of issue 200 that I like, I'll buy it.
My jaw dropped when I got saw the Final Fantasy GI in my mailbox today, though I kinda wish I'd gotten that Link one. All in all I'm really digging GI's new redesign.
After seeing the crazy and wild covers over the last couple of months, I approve of these retro and more simplistic covers.
I read that top 200 list and was NOT pleased. MGS4 wasn't even on the list, some games on the list JUST came out, and it's about 75% nintendo. It was a very poor list.
I got the Metroid cover in the mail, it's simplicity is a fucking thing of beauty.
It's still a decent magazine.

And to think, I almost burned my huge box of old game informers collecting dust just the other day. I might need to start adding to it now...
Like all children of the cyber age, I soon started spending my time on gaming websites, with less time spent flipping the pages of gaming magazines, until eventually I let my subscription run out, and chose not to renew it.
