Nice job, Conrad. You really need to make another appearance on one or all of the podcasts soon.
To where are you moving? Are you leaving Phoenix? My trips there will be sad if you are gone.
As for the Goozex thing, I'd leave neutral feedback. Negative feedback I'd save for if the game doesn't work, or nothing gets sent at all (which I'm dealing with right now).
The whole package is pretty important to me too, because I've got a collection and I'm proud of it, so just having a disc or a cartridge doesn't look as nice. That said, the dude did send you the full package, game, case, and manual. It just wasn't the original. Annoying, yes, but you don't know that he was the one who made the custom package, or if he treats Goozex like a rental service and he got it from somebody else that way.
I agree with Dexter. I would give him/her neutral feedback, but then leave a scathing comment that will scar him/her for life.
Neutral feedback is the way to go. And where are you moving to?
Oh, umm. I didn't mention where I was moving because I'm basically moving to the other side of a parking lot.
Hooray! Now I can visit next time I'm in town still!
I can totally relate to the "full package" deal unless they're older carts. I would be bothered, but I'm Dexter's side.
Plus, you really can't leave negative feedback for that. If you click on "Nuetral" it gives you 3 options. One of those is, "I requested a "Full Package" or "Disc + Manual", but received a "Disc Only".
Leave a comment on your feedback so people are aware of it. Some people are anal about perfect packs.
Dear Conrad,
This is unrelated to your video blog, but I feel an urge to point it out anyway.

That is a screenshot from a recent video game called The Lost Crown. It's a point-and-click adventure game I've been playing through with a few friends of mine recently, and I cannot shake the feeling that I'M PLAYING AS YOU. I'm pretty sure it's the facial hair, mostly, but the resemblance is frickin' uncanny. I think you will agree.
Yours,
DanlHaas
DanlHaas: That is incredibly creepy. Please tell me that the game is good. I'd hate to have a character so close to my likeness be in a bad game.
I've never been opposed to leaving negative feedback if I feel like I've been ripped off.
It looks like this guy deliberately attempted to deceive you and put effort into doing so for that customer wanting to pay the extra dollar.
@Conrad
Yeah, it's a good game, particularly if you like point-and-clicks. Great atmosphere, fun puzzles, though it suffers from pacing issues at times. Also, you have a British accent!
i know what you mean about moving...every time i do it, i just hate having to undo all of my systems and pack it away just to have to set the whole thing up again a day or so later...i'm moving at the end of next month and i'm totally not looking forward to it
@Cadtalfryn: Like I said, Goozex is a site that specifically deals with trafficking used games. He could have gotten the package that way from another person, who could have gotten it from another person. There is no certainty that he did it.
Additionally, it doesn't cost any extra to request the full package, there are just more people in line for it, so you are likely to get a game faster if you request just the disc or the disc + manual.
kick-ass gaming setup
as for keeping wires at bay you can get these little plastic hooks that can be stuck onto the shelving unit and clip on off the wires you have
