About Rodney Dangerfield:

The mere inclusion of Rodney Dangerfield can vastly improve anything. Films, music, toasters, anything. In particular, the force of Rodney Dangerfield could elevate video games to the level in which they are accepted by the mainstream as a true art form, bringing together people of all races, creeds and tax brackets in peace and harmony.

RIP Rodney.

After a year away from what's probably the biggest gathering of Dtoiders in the US, I'm happy to say that I'll be attending PAX Prime this year. I didn't join in on the fun in 2009 because getting across the country for a weekend of drinking seemed like a bad idea at the time. But something has changed that makes my trip a little bit easier.

Which brings me to the second reason for this post: I'm pulling up stakes. Next month, I'll be making the move from Phoenix, Arizona to Portland, Oregon.

Now, we know nobody in the area and there are only two of us to unload the truck. So, I'm thinking, maybe some of the wonderful people in the Destructoid community would like to come by and lend a hand. More like hoping, really.

If you don't have plans already for August 15th, maybe you would like to join us for some beer, pizza and maybe some vidja gamez once we get a TV set up? Oh, and unloading all sorts of crap from the back of a truck and putting it into a tiny apartment. Say something in the comments here and I'll be in touch.

I'm fucking there!

I haven't checked the mailer in a awhile to know if you've joined it, but I'll tell 3vbo to add you in it just in case.
yay conrad at PAX!!
Congratulations! Arizona is a hellhole and Portland is actually kind of nice!
Rad times are ahead of us.
An excellent choice of location, my friend. Us PDX'ers are a tight nit group and I'm sure some of us will come give you a hand, myself included.

I sent an invite to your gmail for the group as well.
Can help you for sure Conrad! Portland is awesome and we'll be sure to make you feel welcome. ;D

Naked.
Well now you did it. You're gonna have that truck unloaded in five minutes. Also, congratulations on moving to the strip club capital of the world!

You have much to learn. Hotcake house and Ground Kontrol are a must.
@GrumpyTurtle: I kid you not, proximity to Ground Kontrol was a consideration in deciding where we were going to live in the city.
I will of course offer my help. Good to have ya! Is Plant coming too? :o
@Conrad Zimmerman

You know they just won 20,000 dollars to improve it right?
Do you need people to help you load stuff into the truck? I'll be in Phoenix for good this week.
@Dexter: YES.
Dude, I should be available (gotta check with the mrs). I'm just across the river in America's Vancouver.
@Conrad: For you, anything.
Sorry I can't help, but I look forward to shaking your ha... uh, giving you the Iron Guard salute this year. Will this be your first PAX?
@Qalamari: Oh, no. I attended PAX in 2007 (where I first made the decision to start reading Destructoid more) and then again in 2008 (first event I attended after being hired by Destructoid).

Also, It is very important that we get some food at the pier. I'm itching for some steamed clams and there's a great counter down there.
Portland Dtoiders know how to do it up. Every time they come up to Seattle or we go down there we all have a blast.
There are Portland Dtoiders? I thought most of them resided in California or on the East Coast. (Portlander here.)
Tonic are you in the mailer?

Let's get you in the mailer. Contact and behold the glory of the PDX crew.
Which is basically the best crew ever.
