About Me
I am the Deputy News Editor at Destructoid. I write about videogames for a living. That last sentence is as awesome as it sounds, though not always in the ways you might think.

I also play host to Destructoid's live streaming satellite studio, Couchtoid. From there, we broadcast Backlog, an attempt to work through my stack of old games one hour at a time (Weeknights, 10pm Pacific) and Saturday Morning Hangover where Dtoid writer Jordan Devore and the always lovely ImpossiblePlant play often painful games for your amusement (Saturdays, 10am Pacific).

I'm fond of all types of gaming, either on a screen or a tabletop. In terms of video games, my interests vary wildly from platformers (2D preferred) to RPGs and the occasional FPS. The greatest game of all time is Mega Man 2 and any suggestion otherwise will be met with swift vengeance.

About Rodney Dangerfield:

The mere inclusion of Rodney Dangerfield can vastly improve anything. Films, music, toasters, anything. In particular, the force of Rodney Dangerfield could elevate video games to the level in which they are accepted by the mainstream as a true art form, bringing together people of all races, creeds and tax brackets in peace and harmony.

RIP Rodney.

Amazon has Buy 2 Get 1 Free on Activision Titles
Conrad Zimmerman | 12:20 PM on 05.05.2008 9 comments

Right now and for the next week, Amazon.com is running a promotion where if you buy two of the Activision games (for 360) on their list, you get a third one free. It's fairly slim pickings, but it might be worth it for someone. Here's a list of what they have on offer:

Call of Duty 2
Call of Duty 3
Call of Duty 4
Marvel Ultimate Alliance Gold
Transformers
Monster Jam
Tony Hawk's Proving Ground

I am tempted with Marvel Alliance cause it is gold and I can play as Nightcrawler/Venom/Colossus.

Transformers?

Nothing else good?

Marvel Ultimate Alliance bored the hell out of me, personally. The story just drags on and on. The only thing I don't have on that list which might entice me is Tony Hawk, but that series has really jumped the shark.

The only one of these I'd want is Call of Duty 2, because I already have CoD4, and the others don't interest me. If it were buy one, get one, I'd totally do it, and probably grab THPG, but I'm definitely not paying for it.

I love these buy two get one deals, but damnit I read the title and immediately thought "Skate!" but forgot that that's EA's game not Activision's.

I swear I'm starting to confuse which evil conglomerate is which.

I could buy Transformers and Monster Jam and get... a game I already have! Thanks for the heads up, but this really makes me realize how much the Activision library could improve.
