So I know everyone is sick of all the Brawl blogs, but I can't help myself, sorry. I've never gotten a game before the release date before, let alone a big game like Brawl.
Some of you may remember about a week or so ago that Sears was supposedly selling Brawl early. I didn't think too much of it, but Sears website said they had it ready to ship. So I figured what the heck, I'll just try it and see what happens.
A bunch of days go by and about 2 days ago I tried to cancel my order via e-mail. Sears said they couldn't do it, I was kinda pissed about that. But I check me e-mail today and I get an e-mail from Sears that says it's been shipped. Of course I got standard shipping, so I was like "cool, but it probably won't come till next week sometime." Then I check the tracking info on UPS's website, and it says 3/7/08- OUT FOR DELIVERY. I damn near shit myself when I read that. Few hours after I read the e-mail, and I now am about to pop Brawl into my Wii.
Oh, and for all those "Pics or it didn't happen" people......
And the best part about it was this slip of paper that came in the box with Brawl:
Ah, and finally, thanks to Dtoid member "D" who posted the blog about Sears selling the game early and making this possible for me, and GoNintendo for posting the story that "D" blogged about. Of course I should thank Sears too for not knowing what "street date" means and selling this early.
One hadnt gotten thier shipment yet and had heard that they werent to sell until the 9th
the Second had the games but hadnt broken street date (that guy was very knowledgeable I may Shop for games there again)
and the 3rd (and what should have been my 1st stop)
HAD JUST SOLD OUT 5 MINUTES BEFORE I GOT THERE
Enjoy.
It seems far more fast paced than melee and doesn't help that there is a lot going on in the background in a lot of stages. Can be hard to keep track of your character. I suppose I'll get used to it though.
Guys, I'm well aware that these posts are annoying, and I apologized in the very first sentence of my blog post. However, I posted this for a few reasons besides attention-whoring.
One is that as I stated in my post, I have never gotten a game early before, and I'm really excited for Brawl, thus I felt eager to post my excitement. Also, I wanted to openly thank Dtoid member D for his blog post that allowed me to get the game early, even though I know full well he may not even see this post.
Finally, I provided some pics of me having the game, and yes my parents digital camera sucks, I didn't have the flash on when I took the pics, and only natural light was in the room that I took the pictures in. It's also overcast outside because it's winter and I live in Michigan, where from December-March there are maybe 5 days where the sun is actually out.
I'd provide more pics, but honestly I don't need to prove myself to anyone. If you can't accept the pics above, oh well. Also the game comes out for everyone else in like 2 days, so it's not worth putting more out.
You guys are probably right that I shouldn't have posted this and just played the game. Like I said at the beginning of my blog, there are enough of these blogs already out there. Sorry.
Besides we have other dragons to slay now - this is not my Turning Point gaming ri- OH NO ITS HAPPENING TO ME
