OK, hmmmmm, where do I start? I guess I should start at the beginning of my gaming life. I'm talking summers spent in Clacton arcades wasting 10p's on Championship Sprint, Double Dragon and Turtles. I'm on about California Games, Daley Thompson and Winter Olympics... Aaaaaah, the C64 days, when I was but 5 or 6 years old, seemed the sunniest. I swear it was either bright sunshine soaked summer or just plain snow in those heady times.

Nowadays, like the weather, gaming has gotten complex... So much choice and so little cash.

In a house with many consoles and far too much gaming testosterone, I devote most play time to my PS3. I don't have a preference for game type, although I'd say FPS's float my boat the most and RPGs haven't grabbed me by the balls once, yet.

Hello. Seeing as it seems the done thing on this here site, I've decided to show y'all (yes, thank you, I am "down" with the lingo, just for my early bird American friends) my gaming "rig", "setup" (can that be one word? I dread to think), errrrm... corner of my bedroom.

Now, don't be fooled. This is not a trick of the eye, the place where I do my gaming is not as lavishly surrounded by every single game to come out of underground Japan since 1982 and it certainly doen't boast multiple consoles (like Atheistium's, the rig first I laid my eyes on when I arrived on this planet/website) and a chair that George Dubya would be proud to rest his guilty arse on in the Whitehouse. Nope, it's pretty simple and only involves my current console.

So, to spruce things up I've decided to take you on a journey through time and show you how things have changed. Not only have I upgraded my console, TV and trainers (sneakers!), but also a few other things that a man needs. See if you can spot them all!? No, don't care to? OK, just tell me how lame it is compared to your empire.

Ha! Whenever I carry my lightsaber I wear a hood. I always take my lightsaber with me when it rains.

Ha hah! But you can buy an umbrella from Think Geek that is a combination of umbrella and lightsabre. Actually, it's more like the umbrellas you see in Blade Runner, but they're still pretty cool.

Nice setup photos, the before and after shots are cool.

Uncharted - Tomb Raider. Very well thought off. But dude, is that the same sock? It's almost 10 years old!

Takeshi, I appreciate that. That is not a sock though, it's a sleeve from a jumper I have been looking for for ten years... and it's behind the radiator. Cheers for finding it!

@ BlindSideDork, We re-homed some kittens. I think that one may have died, unfortunately. The oldeer cat was in the same batch - from a stray cat - and is my pride 'n' joy.

I have the same one Clance, Women dont glow blue from the inside, i was SO FUCKING disappointed that i tried it on two different women.

That's an Epiphone SG copy, unfortunately... Standard pick-ups, but it gives me the perfect sound I want. Quite rough round the edges... Gotta love the sunburst.

It's �500 but I got it for �400 at Richer Sounds because they called me in to collect a Sony I ordered, only to tell me that they didn't actually have it (due to back orders and a queue or something). manager offered me this LG with �100 knocked off. Nice guy. Me, lucky boy.
