About Me
OK, hmmmmm, where do I start? I guess I should start at the beginning of my gaming life. I'm talking summers spent in Clacton arcades wasting 10p's on Championship Sprint, Double Dragon and Turtles. I'm on about California Games, Daley Thompson and Winter Olympics... Aaaaaah, the C64 days, when I was but 5 or 6 years old, seemed the sunniest. I swear it was either bright sunshine soaked summer or just plain snow in those heady times.

Nowadays, like the weather, gaming has gotten complex... So much choice and so little cash.

In a house with many consoles and far too much gaming testosterone, I devote most play time to my PS3. I don't have a preference for game type, although I'd say FPS's float my boat the most and RPGs haven't grabbed me by the balls once, yet.

Right now I'm playing
Black Ops, FIFA 11, Enslaved and Fallout 3 (GOTY Edition)

PSN: Clancy5000

Peace.

My Best GTA IV Moment (spoilerless)...

It was quite late last night. Sunday night, around 1.30am and I was busy on a Team Deathmatch in Algonquin(?). My flatmate was on his PS3 in the same match, in the next room. It was one big mini-party without any drugs or alcohol. Shame.

Perhaps I should have been in bed getting some much needed beauty sleep, particularly as I had to go to work today... I was starting to think the same thing myself. Then something quite magical happened. A moment that I wish I had captured on tape and one that made my late night, bleary eyed antics very much worthwhile...

I was in a car. I had been killed a couple of times on the trot and just thought "fuck it, I'm just gonna get a car and mow these pricks down". how could it go wrong? Well, it did. but then it went very right. So right in fact, it was one of those moments in gaming that I hope to always remember and look back on with a smile.

As I spotted my enemy, with his green halo shining above his bonce like a beacon of death calling out to me, the four-wheeled Grim Reaper of pain, I anticipated splattering him all over that Burger Shot, alongside which he was trying to coax me (in MY head anyway). I gained speed and swerved towards his gunshots as he desperately tried to kill me before I could him.

As I reached my target he did the unthinkable and rolled out of the way. I slammed through a fire hydrant and into the wall of the restaurant. I conceded defeat as I emerged from the car at snail's pace, assuming he would be riddling me with bullets by now... But nothing. As the camera panned around I saw him. There he was, in all his glory, being thrown around in the air like a ragdoll. The fire hydrant, the bloody fire hydrant. Of course! I blasted him a good three times with my shotgun and that was the end of that.

I laughed so hard, I must have woken up half of London.

Peace.

Theres a lot of good times to be had on GTA MP.

I remember chasing down some Crooks in Cops n' Crooks and they were almost to the boat when i saw a Cops flown Chopper swoop in with some death from above. I sat back in admiration as the Chopper and its occupants mowed down the Crooks. Was like Apocalypse Now but without Flight of the Valkyries.

haha, That sounds excellent, cops 'n' crooks is a blast... Before I am disppointed when I try it later, can someone sit on the edge of the chopper with an RPG? And how many can you get in one?

NotAZombie - you should try it sometime, it's great fun... Yeah, like I knew what the hell I was doing!

Only winners move at a Snail's pace. Obviously.

im pretty sure you can fire weapons from a chopper but the case in point they were riding in a Annihilator with the mounted Minigun :D

Im gonna go and have a few games now, love Cops and Crooks. Reminds me of when i was a child and we used to play it in the playground.. just there was more death involved when i was young ^_^

Great moment. I had a freak occurence in the single player part the first few nights I got the game. I picked up a Banshee, and was steaming to my mission objective. It has side pipes that pop fire sometimes when it shifts, and I'm pretty sure you can guess what happened next. I accedentally plowed head on into a car on the highway, the passenger got out ready to fight me I assume, and as I swerved around the car the sidepipes flashed and set the dude on fire. I nearly fell out of my chair I was laughing so hard, I kept thinking "did that just seriously happen?" Maybe something else did it but thats how I think it happened.

^^^^^ That is impressive stuff.... That guy would have loved a burst fire hydrant around. I'm going to have to try that one myself. But it's the 'happy accidents' that are the best, I guess. Respect.
