The history of video games is littered with key moments that caused the entire industry and it's followers to step back, take stock and appreciate the beauty of what is possible. Recently there has been a wider impact, with the wave of "innovation" sweeping out into mainstream press and public consciousness more and more. It's an exciting thing to be a part of.
For the first person shooter genre, Maze War led the way for Wolfenstein 3D which, in turn, opened the door for Doom and then Goldeneye 007. Technologically the improvements were stark and the contrasts gradually became more evident. Of course, nowadays we are blessed with the Halo 3's and the Resistance 2's that have people queing around the block for like it was Metallica's "Black Album" all over again.
Other terrific moments have included the creation of Championship Manager (a staple of any football fan's diet as much as Match Of the Day), Command & Conquer, Street Fighter II and Guitar Hero. All of which have influence countless titles and brought millions together who agree on their greatness.

Bone Quest.
No, no, not Boner Quest... In the words of Jack Black: "This is just a tribute. You gotta believe me!"
In fact, I only realised I could call it "Bone Quest" after I'd practically finished and was thinking of a name for a level that involved retrieving a dog's bone. What else could I call it?
