Problem (NVGR)

Hey you guys, I come to y'all with a problem. I know that I'm going to want Wii Fit. Problem is is that it's 100 bucks. What did you folks do when y'all were 16 to get money? I don't have a job, I'm just wondering what kind of jobs you guys undertook to pay for y'alls gaming addiction.

Wiifit seems like one of those games that would turn out to really not be worth it. Think ahead to how much time you might actually spend with it before you get it.

You say y'all too much. Maybe if you cut back on the usage of the term "y'all", people will give you moneys.

Anyways, I used to work for a local pharmacy/convenience store when I was 16. Find a Mom and Pop place you could work at a few days a week after school.

At 16, I got a job. At a well known Fast Food chain. It was not glamorous, it was not a job I have many good memories of, and it was a job that ate up a lot of my free time. It did however give me money to spend on things.

Like other comments posted, I had a job when I turned 16 at the local grocery store. If you aren't looking for part-time misery, perhaps you could volunteer to do extra work for your parents? Maybe some lawns other neighbors have might need mowing?

Mowing lawns is lucrative. You should be able to get at least $20 per hour if not more (I did many years ago), and you can do them (more or less) on your schedule. The only drawbacks are the demands of nature, and the fact that some will require weekend attention.

Bag boy. Grocery store. I bought a Dreamcast with 4 controllers, 4 games, 2 memory cards, and everything else I needed on launch day because of that job. + Most grocery stores will hire you at 16.

For Wii Fit, it seems like an easy problem to deal with. Convince your parents that you are trying to get in shape, and that they can also use it to help them get back into shape. If they refuse tell them that they don't care about your health, and shed a tear or two.

Or if you want to know what I did for money when I was sixteen... I got a job doing data entry. It was the worst thing I've ever done in my life, but it paid decently, for an entry level position.

Employment somewhere sounds like the fix.

Also, that's a slick picture.

I worked at a Subway. Also, you're only 16? Never would have guessed.

Work hard, and someday you'll be a bag man.

Personally I was relentlessly methodical in my assault on lawns, my chief aim being to find the most efficient mowing pattern possible for each contiguous of grass. But I think it was more being unwilling to work for minimum wage, which was a pittance back then and is now almost incomprehensibly low. The federal minimum wage hasn't increased since I was in high school, yet the price of gas has more than tripled, and the average home price has doubled. Awesome.

I sold custom made scrapbooks for 100-300 dollars profits. Did a few canvas painting commissions. Built some websites. Worked some shitty part time jobs.

If you have marketable skills, use them. Otherwise, part time jobs.

i worked at an arcade, and held video game tournaments that my cousin and I would enter and get 1st and 2nd and then split everything evenly, because I'm awesome i made an easy 100$ extra a week.

I would also hustle parents in pool while they were bored and their kids played video games.

and then i would go to the forums where stuff like this belongs, not touch myself, and do chores. and in doing so, God magically came down and gave me video games.

he's a sucker for mario kart.
