Okay so I might try to start a series of blog post talking about video game genres I have yet to experience. I'd appreciate if I got some comments telling me that this belongs in the forums and I'd also like the comments about some games I should start the genre with.
2D Fighting Games
Yeah, I know, FAIL. Right? How can I call myself a gamer if I haven't ever played a 2D fighting game.
Well, it started with a bad experience not using MAME. I loaded Marvel vs. Capcom and I just couldn't get the controls down right. Maybe it was because I was using a keyboard, but it seemed like there were 4 different buttons for punches and 100 attacks, and don't even get me started on trying to pull special hydoukens off with a keyboard. It's hard as balls (to me). Maybe, it's not the fact that I was using a keyboard that made the game seem so complicated, maybe I just suck at fighting games, but dang after playing Marvel vs. Capcom, I just couldn't see the big deal with fighting games.
So complex!
So anyways what cheap 2D fighting game should I try out? Guilty Gear on the Wii? Street Fighter on my 360? I'm up for any suggestions. I promise I'll try it out if it sounds good. Maybe one of y'all can tell me a good beginners fighting game.
it has the worst control for a 2d fighter. get it on xbox live or ps3. especially seeing as how SF2 HD remix just came out. I'll even teach you a thing or three if you want. my gamertag is rab420
