Nintendo Power remixed buttons
ChrisFurniss | 1:37 PM on 08.07.2008 14 comments

I recently chopped up my old Nintendo Power collection and put my new button maker to use with these rad Nintendo Power remix buttons. Each is 1 1/4" (indie rock size) and has some sort of strange (possibly meaningful? philosophical?) phrase on them. I'm selling them in packs of 4 on etsy for 10 bucks!

Check em out here: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=13782560

@ Galagabug: Hell yeah that's nester. Gosh that brings me back. At 19 I don't feel old for remembering him, but I'm getting there -_-

Also, those buttons are amazing. how much for the megaman button? does it come with megaman 2 bosses instead? How did you become so awesome?

@ryu

Well the buttons are a random assortment so you never know what you're going to get! I made a lot of megaman buttons though.

you could use them to pierce your forehead.

thought about making copies of certain pages on shiny quality paper?

then maybe you wouldnt have to sell them in random bundles

random bundles make me a sad unicorn cause i never end up with the one i wanted =[

Unless thse things alow me to participate in The Reapers Game and allow me to use Ultima and Luminare at the same time whilst summoning Ideon to use the Ide Gun, I'd say your NP collection died a horrid death.

AWESOME.

You chopped up the NPs with the old Mario cartoons?

Why?!?! ;_;

that's so indie hipster. I'm going to pin them to my cords and ironically contrast them with my waistcoat and sportcoat. People will be like, "OMG, he's so weird looking, but he doesn't care. I bet he's in a folk/rock/electronica band. I wish I knew."

then I'll hopefully get a job with some liberal left-wing publication and write my self-inflated diatribes against the government, while my shallow and asinine "friends" compliment me until they have a chance to stab me in the back for their own selfish means. But I'll show them. When Conor O'Berst calls me out of the crowd for an after show party, I'll be the one smiling.

All thanks to your pins.

@topgeargorilla

Well now that you have indie rock kids pegged, what are you going to do with your life? Go to Disneyland? I mean, after breaking them down so easily you definitely deserve a celebration.

@nihontiger90

Eh, they were already chopped up from back when I was an even stupider human. Also, I am not really precious with my material possessions if they go into making art.

@conan-san

I did make some reaper pins if you are interested in purchasing one. Send me an email and I'll hook you up.

@pendleton

a couple hundred bucks. Save your lunch money and brown bag it!

@ Chris

Well, right now I'm hoping to finish up my English major at Berkley and move on to a doctorate in Victorian literature. That's celebration enough. Now instead of an offended response, take the joke and laugh at it.

Your pins are fine. Don't be a jerk.

Nice work! I wish I knew what happened to all my old Nintendo Powers. Every once in a while I'm come across a few in an old storage box.
