"I am a huge fan of pie."
WINNAR IS YOU
In my best Bill Lumbergh voice:
"Um yeah, I'm going to have to go ahead and disagree with you there..."
...about Blue Dragon sucking. I'm thoroughly enjoying it right now, just got to disc 2. Sucks about the website going down though. The D-Toids love The Weekly Geek!
I still don't see the amazing factor of Metroid Prime 3. But I only just got the new suit so what do I know.
Darn it, I thought Blue Dragon would be good.
Good luck with the new design. This must be where pies go when they die.
@ Madninja
I think its an excellent game. Not the best, definately not a 10/10 but it deserved a better review than what IGN gave it.
@Excremento
I was looking forward to it and it is on my Goozex list but why do you think IGN should change their score?
So does we get podcast for next week? D=
I think that the reviewer was a bit harsh about the "presentation", "sound", and "gameplay" scores. This is just my opinion but I think this game is gorgeous, the music is more memorable than the reviewer says. Sure the boss music is atrocious, but I've found myself singing along to it now. You also get the choice of 3 different spoken languages with the original Japanese being my favorite.
The game throughout the first disc isn't as boring as they say either, its just exposition. I mean in the first 30 minutes, there's tons of action.
To be continued...
Finally the gameplay, the reviewer said that it "Classic RPG gameplay with a few nice touches", that means that it is more solid than he leads it to be. The customization for the characters is great, almost a direct copy of FF3's job system, along with skills you can pick and choose, you also can choose between accessories (not armor), to boost stats.
I believe the game got a 7.9 from IGN, but in my case, I've REALLY enjoyed playing this game from minute 1. I would go a little higher and rate it around 8.9/10.
Definately not the best game on the 360, but the best RPG available until Eternal Sonata this month.
I love the boss music. It is weird I am actually playing FF3 right now haha but serious time. I heard the game loses it momentum after the first disc but 1up's review is even harsher. They gave it a 6.5.
Holy crap, only a 6.5?!? Geez, I guess thats why I stopped going to those guys. I bet they reviewed PD:zero as good?
Anyways, off topic seriously, sorry!
Chris, we all love the Weekly Geek, and hope that you get the site up and running again soon...waitaminit did Grant break it and you're trying to cover for him? Haha, jk man.
No Furniss Blue Dragon doesn't suck, you do. ;)
What kind of pie?
Cherry pie.
