Not my Turning Point gaming rig
Chos | 7:08 PM on 04.03.2008 5 comments

I saw the contest and just wanted to get in there for the goodness.

Pictured but not obvious: my Zune, a lamp made from a tequila bottle, a penguin, my WoW mouse pad, and Darth Vader in all his glory (he's on the corner of the laptop).

Not too bad of a laptop, I just wish it had some game. While it does have 2 gigs of ram and an average CPU (Core 2 Duo @ 1.50GHz), it does not have a video card. It rocks out a Mobile Intel 965 Express Chipset. Basically it can run games from around 2003 and that's about it. I'm not complaining though. It gets the job done for Dota.

You get points for the Cuervo 1800 bottle turned into a lamp. My personal favorite Tequila..as well as a four eyed, curly haired knife wielding psychopath I know.

how is a zune not obvious?

it's a microsoft object, so it will be bulky and stick out like a sore thumb.

@BlackSheep
I assumed that no one knew what it was, or that they only knew of it, had never seen one in real life.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?

Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!

 about me

I'm a nice guy, just weird. You get used to it after a few doses.
A quick note, if you don't listen to RetroforceGo!, the best podcast ever (yard sale), then why are you here? Not here, reading my profile-thingy, here on this Earth. Go kill yourself Hippie.
Anyways...
I'm a lover of retro games, and most often I find myself trapped in my past, replaying old classics like it's nobody's business. I can't count the number of times I've beaten my SNES collection over and over again. And don't even ask me about Star Ocean: The Second Story or Lufia II. I've spent over 400 hours on each of them (stupid Ancient Cave). I love people and friends, so if you want to talk or w/e then add me to your friends!

On another random note, I try to update blogs I have with any free web stuff I find to educate all possible.
Random freebies:

IWBTG - I Wanna Be The Guy - http://kayin.pyoko.org/iwbtg/
I advertise this game every chance I get. If you've ever played a platformer, then you need to play this. The best advice for this game? If it looks safe, it's not. Also, don't have anything breakable within your immediate reach because it will be destroyed by your rage within 5 minutes of playing.
Hulu - http://www.hulu.com/
Its got full episodes of a lot of popular tv shows that you watch right in your browser. A friend told me that it's run by NBC but who cares lol.
Pandora - http://www.pandora.com/
A music site where you type in a band/song and it creates a radio station for you with similar types of music. It proves useful if you're tired of listening to the same music over and over again and want to discover some new bands. A nice touch is that it saves the "stations" that you create. If you don't like the site, use OinkPlus, another program that does basically the same thing but plugs into your music player instead of staying in your browser.
GameGum - http://www.gamegum.com/
A billion free flash games. You'll never be bored at work again.
Freeware Database - http://freeware.remakes.org/
Another billion free games, most of these are user created and pretty awesome. It's sort of like the poor man's indie homeland.
South Park Studios - www.southparkstudios.com
Full, free, (mostly) uncensored episodes of South Park. It's updated regularly with new content.
