I like it when people say gamers have no life but they spend all their free time watching Dancing with the Stars, The New Adventures of Old Christine, and American Idol.

Yeah, this happens to me a lot. A lot of people who say "Oh you have no life" say that they love watching t.v. Isn't that just another, boring hobby?

My friends are my friends because we have fun together, and we do so because we share interests, and our interests are mostly game related. So I haven't had this particular problem. However I've had my friends' friends come over to my place, and fuck those guys. They are more than clearly bored, because as sweet as my place is to be in for me and my friends, there's not a lot to do if you're not interested in games or music. So they sit there, sighing, and I know what they're thinking.

...and I'm thinking, "oh lawd, I wish I could trade everything I have for more reality TV channels, a car in constant need of fixing (or best case "pimping", you need at the very least over nine thousand subwoofers), more general "friends" (because quantity equals quality) and copious amounts of alcohol (because vomiting, passing out and remembering nothing is the best way to spend free time)". I don't keep IRL friends.

Most of my friends play video games so that's not a problem. What is a problem though is that they are all on Xbox 360 while I'm the only one who rocks the PS3. Deep down I think I got it just to be different, but they saw it as a slap in the face. They can be real fanboys from time to time. So I don't see them often and I come here for my social fix.
